The Bulls Head shines with its beautifully converted building and "amazing service." Diners rave about the "outstanding" food, with dishes that look like "mini works of art." Though some find prices high, the garden ambiance and top-class offerings make it a worthwhile experience. Perfect for special occasions.

We don’t normally go out for Sunday lunch as we enjoy cooking at home but friends were coming to stay and we wanted a little more time to chatter and relax. This was a seriously good decision ! 3 x Beef and 1 x Lamb. All perfectly cooked and presented with flair (yorkshires and roasties were perfect) We all enjoyed our various starters, the home made slaw with my short rib was nothing short of delicious) the dressing on the heritage tomato and burrata salad was superb with a slight kick. Yum I need to recipe. Good house wine - both white and red. It did take a bit too long for the starters to arrive but that gave us the chance to catch with each others news. Too full for pudding but a cracking Sunday lunch. Highly recommended particularly because this is real chefs cooking; so much more of an occasion than the production line, run of the mill offerings in some venues. We will return.

Food was nice but expensive for what you got, staff a bit abrupt and service average despite having to pre-order. Atmosphere good

Excellent food as usual. The restaurant was a little on the noisy side for us as we wanted to catch up with old friends and holding a conversation became difficult at times. The meals took a long time to arrive but this was not a problem as we were not in a hurry. Overall, however, we had a great time in a super venue.

Whilst the food was nice it wasn't to the level they charge. Drinks were ridiculously high price- reasonable glass of wine £11 plus 10%service charge (I realise we could have asked for this to be removed), Guinness 0% £4.90 plus service whilst a normal pint of draught beer was £4.40 which was what you would expect. For how busy they weren't service and attention could have been btter- We arrived 10 minutes early and took the option of having a drink in the bar which was served swiftly. We asked for menus to browse through. After 30 minutes we asked would we be shown to our table which a few minutes later it happened+ virtually right next to where we were sitting ( I guess the restaurant seating was closed because how quiet they were). It's a shame that they chose to charge the level they do and I think they will need alot of luck in surviving unless that address the situation and remove the service charge- you expect it in London and the better Michelin starred restaurants- leave it completely optional - I virtually always tip and often more than the norm.

Food was enjoyable, particularly the vegetables. The scallops dish tasted lovely, but with a £4 supplement for 3 small scallops I thought it was overpriced. Sticky toffee pudding was amazing- rich and sticky with lovely ice cream. The building is beautifully converted, personally I would rather have eaten in the room before the restaurant as it was brighter and more homely.

This was our first trip to the Bulls Head after it was recommended by several friends. It will not be our last visit! The surroundings, food and service were all top class. Not the cheapest of places but well worth it.

The food was nice but it’s very expensive for what it was which was Sunday lunch. 2 courses with a side of cauliflower cheese was £65.50 plus drinks.

We had a lovely meal once again at The Bulls Head, the only thing we don't like is having the service charge included in our bill. We would have tipped anyway but bit is nice to have the choice.
