The Brassmill in Keynsham is a country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.

Whether you are planning dinner with friends or Sunday lunch with family, book a table online and enjoy some quality time with those you love the most.

The Brassmill played an integral part in the development of the brass manufacturing industry in Britain. By adapting Dutch techniques, Abraham Darby set up the first brass mills in Keynsham around 1706. The final brass battery pans ever made in Britain were produced here in June 1927. Now a pub-restaurant, we maintain the name as a sign of our heritage.

Deep in the idyllic Avon Valley, you'll love The Brassmill and its ancient beams. Its large garden overlooks the river, a green mill pond with ducks and foaming weir.

We gave up going to Brassmills 12 months ago due to the poor availability of menu items but this was excellent- all available, good specials, well prepared and excellent service. We thought the mini desserts are a great idea. We are looking forward to a return visit.

Had a most enjoyable meal, only criticism was that the onion rings was lacking onion and was far too overcooked. One meal could of stayed hot if the plates were hot. But we would definitely return soon.

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch with my partner. Very good food and as I have a small appetite was able to order child’s portion which was ample. Thank you.

Sunday lunch was very good. Portions very big. Plenty of vegetables and roast potatoes. Staff very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

We ate from the special lunch menu, the starters mushrooms was very nice, the mains ham, egg and chips - just a small pointer but I wish the hot egg wasn’t served on cold ham, it turned the meat a bit grey and slimy, also the ham wasn’t the finest quality, I bought far better from the cold meat counter in Tescos the next day! The pudding Creme brûlée was delicious. We asked for tap water which came looking very cloudy, pity the tap wasn’t left running for longer! Overall though, a very cosy, nicely decorated pub and a friendly welcome.

All the staff were helpful friendly and made us feel welcome the waitress that looked after us was excellent. I had chicken my wife had fish and my son had steak, all served on hot plates and lovely presentation. We are going back in November for a birthday celebration 8 off us. I would recommend a visit.

We found the staff to be attentive , friendly and helpful .Our party arrived at separate times and were shown to our table without fuss or delay. We were a bit slow at ordering our food but the waitress allowed us plenty of time . All food arrived at the same time and was well cooked and well presented on hot plates and of good quantity. Suitable sauces were also brought quickly on request. Drink requests were also quickly attended to. Waitress also enquired if there were any problems with the meals a few minutes after they were delivered. There were no problems. One of our party was aged 96 and was relieved to find a disabled parking slot available immediately adjacent to the entrance. Only two such spaces appeared to be set aside - could there be more made available? Our table was also on the upper area of the split level inside the building and the three access steps did cause some problems for the 96 year old. This was hardly the fault of the staff as I did not mention this when booking the table or request a table on "the level". The table was booked on line and as far as I could see (apologies if I am wrong) there was no mention of the split level with regard to possible guest walking difficulties. Perhaps this could be added to the site page? Altogether we had a very enjoyable evening. Thank you.
