   You approach and you think you are going into a joint, but once you walk in, you you know you are in a special place. I’m reluctant to write a review for the selfish reason of introducing people to the Blue Door Cafe. Let me state that the entire experience from the cocktails to the home made bread with honey butter to the four meals we ordered (there were only two of us), to the espresso and chocolate soufflé were, well, if I were Elisa Doolittle, I would be singing “I could have danced all night’’. That is the feeling you ant the Blue Door Cafe. Thank you to the owners, Micheal and Jen, and to Mike who tended to our wine for a lovely evening.

   Never been disappointed! Great quality food and service! Dessert always the cherry on top of a perfect overall experience! So grateful for a fine, comfortable dining experience close to home!

   We’ve gone there for breakfasts for years, but rarely for dinner. It was outstanding!

   The atmosphere was really nice, a bit chilly in the corner we were sitting in. Music was also a bit louder than I would have liked. We didn’t get any appetizers but our main courses were amazing!!! We both got Crème Brûlée for dessert. It was very good but a bit over priced $15. Overall we really liked our first visit and will definitely be going back!

   The dinner food was good, but extremely overpriced. For example, we ordered a Brie appetizer and got two pieces of bread and three small rounds of (what appeared to be butter) for $15. We enjoyed the food and service, but wouldn’t go back because of the prices.

The presentation is also stunning—plates arrive looking like works of art, making the experience even more exciting. Service is seamless and attentive without being intrusive.    I have been a Blue Door patron for years and this is the first time the service was sub par! They were busy however I been there when they have been busy on other occasions and this night was no exception with the exception of forgetting to refill the water glass and forgetting to ask if I wanted another drink . My sever was pleasant but busy.

   Hello Elizabeth. I apologize for your substandard experience. Unfortunately, we were understaffed for the amount of customers at our restaurant last evening. We have several of our staff with the flu and could not find anyone to cover the shift.

   Outstanding food and service! We had burrata and house baked sourdough with roasted vegetables Then Coq au Vin Gulyash Chocolate soufflé All were delicious

    Best dinner all month, every month. The single best restaurant in northeast Ohio and it’s not even close.
