   Service was non existent. Adore at the bar, fair enough but to have to go back to the bar to get your wine glasses and bottle of wine was a step too far.

   We booked the 5 course Mother's day meal. Promised glass of champagne on arrival but the glass was only half full so the first disappointment. Food was OK but calamari too salty to eat. Sirloin beef not great quality and tiny portion. Baked alaska seemed like frozen shop bought product. Service was very slow and left waiting for coffees for over half an hour. I had to remind them twice. It wasn't even very busy and seemed a lot of staff on. I then had to ask for the truffles which were supposed to come with coffee and they gave us 4 between 3 people. As we were leaving the table opposite were given 20 between 5. Slightly annoyed but they weren't very nice anyway. Overall disappointing experience and wouldn't go again.

   If you prefer luke warm food on cold plates and small portions, this is the place to eat.

   We enjoyed our meal at The Blue Ball. The service was good and the staff were very friendly. We will be returning soon.

   We had a fabulous Supper Club menu this evening, 3 generations of family, each with separate choices, all of which were excellent. Faultless!! We were rushing off to the Cinema, but will come again to try the desserts! Thank you, a lovely evening.

   Amazing food, the mushroom bourginoune was outstanding i have intolerances so very please with the food. My husband said the chicken schnitzel was the best he has tasted. Great portions, quick service, great atmosphere. Lovely place to eat with great staff. Lovely and clean

   Excellent Sunday lunch with service to match in a relaxed atmosphere. The size of the meals were really good. Definitely value for money. I can whole heartedly recommend this establishment.

   A warm welcome at the Blue Ball this evening, there for our anniversary celebration, had a bouquet delivered for presentation by staff to my wife which was done after our lovely meal while we had coffee. Certainly will be go back again

    The Blue Ball has changed its ordering system, we should have been informed when we checked in but this didn’t happen. You now need to go to the bar to order, despite there bing 4 staff behind the bar!

    Thank you for your comments we do take them on board. I am sorry that the staff didn't inform you of the change, We are learning to its been a habit for a long time and change is hard. we have got a chalk board at the main entrance as you walk into the pub. its only been in forced for a few weeks. thank you Jason & Vicki & the blue ball team
