Welcome to the Black Bull.
Tucked away in rural Lancashire, between cloud topped hills, green fields, rolling pastures, and lots of cows... sits The Black Bull Inn.
Nestled in the picturesque village of Old Langho, our stone building has been here since the 1500s. Steeped in history it has it's own warm welcome to travellers from far and wide.
Our menu is fresh, local and has a nice balance of those "pub classics" but brought up to date in modern and inventive ways.
Dog friendly in the bar area or garden, and plenty of cosy seating available in front of our roaring fires, in The Library, or in our gorgeous, beamed, renovated Fire Barn.

Nice food but you have to have at least 2 courses on a Sunday and it's £34 ability expensive for cheese pie and a dessert

Was given a gift voucher as a present so was really looking forward to it. Sadly I was disappointed. The noise in the bar area initially was so loud we couldnt talk to each other. Quietened down later. Was packed out. Service excellent I ordered the jalfrezi which was a mistake. Served on a board with curry, rice and chicken all seperate. Couldnt mix it together and each dish was very dry. Left most of it Husband ordered beef pot pie which he said was delicious. Glad we had a voucher or would have been an expensive night out for a meal I couldnt eat

I was expecting a great Sunday lunch . Sorry to say we didn’t get one. We Was seated at the worst table in the pub . Next to the bar . Next to the front door. So was off to a bad start. No alcohol Guinness available. Had run out. How can this be it comes in cans and you have A beer cellar to store it. Starters was nice . 2 roast beef dinners ordered. Maybe 4:30 was too late . Roast beef lacked flavour and was to fatty. My wife’s cauliflower was not cooked . My cauliflower Was fine? All warm and not hot . The dessert was great too. All this good points was lost on this table that Should be for bar snacks and drinks only . If I am paying £34 for a two course Sunday lunch I expect it to be hot not warm. Very disappointed .

Went for a Shared platter Sunday lunch and it was absolutely delicious. Staff were very friendly and would definitely recommend this , the only slight this disappointment was some of the food was just warm which we passed onto the Staff. Great place to have a hearty Sunday lunch.

Busy but very good service. Food was all excellent and the portions could even fill my grandson. So prices are really quite good however the drinks bumped the cost, but I thought on the whole it was good value for money.

We were in great company so had a very enjoyable evening. The staff were extremely personable and helpful however, serving of the food let this down. It felt like the food had been left under heat lamps. Soggy pork belly bites, cool fries and slightly undercooked but delicious cheese and onion pie.
