   The Sunday Brunch is always fabulous! With a seafood/fruit/charcuterie tower to apps, mains, (I had bourbon apple French toast) and dessert buffet it is a favorite. Go check it out!

   Love Sunday Brunch!! Great variety of menu choices and the towers are fun. The crepe station is all world!! Highly recommend!!

   The staff at The Bistro are exceptional—well-trained, professional, and always a step ahead, attending to every need before you even realize it. I loved the experience of being so attentively catered to. Since we arrived early, we started with a perfectly mixed dirty martini at the bar and enjoyed every moment. Once seated, we ordered wine and the Brie appetizer, which was delightful and something I’d happily order again. My partner chose the filet, which, while good, didn’t quite live up to fine dining expectations. I ordered the scallops, asking for them to be cooked more on the well-done side rather than the typical sushi style. Unfortunately, they arrived undercooked and had to be sent back. While waiting, I shared my partner’s steak, along with the Brussels sprouts (which were fantastic) and potatoes. After nearly a 15-minute wait, my scallops returned but were still somewhat underdone, with risotto that was unfortunately overcooked. I ended up taking them home instead. To finish, we ordered the crème brûlée and cappuccinos, but the dessert arrived cold, and the cappuccinos were barely warm—another letdown. Our server graciously topped off our wine, which was appreciated given the delays. Overall, our stay at Ocean House was just as lovely as friends had recommended, and I truly don’t think you could find a more attentive staff anywhere. However, The Bistro needs to elevate its dining experience to maintain its 4-star reputation.

   Went for Sunday Brunch.Beautiful views. Amazing service starting with the valet and all through the meal. Good food. Looking forward to going back.

   The Ocean House Bistro went above and beyond to make sure our family dinner was perfect. The attentiveness to our children and the fun we all had with our dining team made the experience so memorable.    Very disappointed with this visit. Huge decline from what this place once was 10 years ago. I was a regular customer to this restaurant and to all the special events offered then. I live close to the 2 casinos in CT and Ocean House was our respite to get quality food, good ambient and especially good service from their caring staffs. I came back a couple of weeks ago to attend the home coming chef event was very satisfied with everything. I said to myself that it's nice to be home again at Ocean House after a long hiatus. I was wrong after last night's visit at the Bistro. The waiter was especially bad because he doesn't know your own products, can't serve or pour wine properly, etc. Last night's event was just a disaster. Now I'm looking for a go to place in Newport, and to find place where quality is of the highest level of importance. C. R. Hong

    When paying the room rates at The Ocean House, I expected the dinner to be something very special. Instead, dinner was just OK. The two halibut dishes were not as hot as they should have been; this was also true of the short ribs dish. Some of the carrots on the halibut dish were undercooked. The mussels dish was good but very small-portioned. Flavors were acceptable. As I indicated in my rating, the service was outstanding. Wait-staff was clearly well-trained, pleasant, responsive and professional.
