   Duck was dried. Restaurant reduced the price, however. Steak frites at $75 a little bit over the top. Service impeccable. Very nice ambiance.

   Our table for 2 by the window had beautiful views. The delicious food was made primarily with local Alberta/BC ingredients and was sooo tasty. The service was excellent, friendly and professional. We have eaten at most restaurants in Banff which has some top notch restaurants and feel this meal was one of our best! It’s not cheap, but you get what you pay for and it is a reasonable price for the quality of food and service.

   Excellent food , especially the bison tomahawk, wow. All cocktails and appetizers were also amazing. Our servers chris and gyan (french canadian guy) were amazing. definitely one of the best places around.

   We had the bison bolognese with gnocchi, the short ribs and the broccoli appetizer. Plenty of deliciously and expertly prepared foods combining unique flavors for a wonderful culinary experience.

   Loved the service ! Our server (the guy from Bordeaux, France) was super nice & so was the manager . The fried chicken & the scallops & the gnocchi were delicious!

   Our experience at Bison Restaurant was exceptional, making it a must-visit spot after a day of skiing or hiking in Banff. The service was impeccable. Our server took the time to thoughtfully explain the differences between the Bison Tomahawk and Beef Ribeye, including details about fat content, doneness, and flavor profiles. This helped us make an informed choice and added to the overall dining experience. We also tried the Escargot, Tuna Tartare, and Fries. Each dish was nearly perfect. The fries, served with a truffle aioli, were particularly addictive—the unique flavor had us reaching for more. The Tuna Tartare was equally impressive, with the clever use of cucumber and ginger creating a refreshing and unique flavor combination. The Bison Tomahawk was a standout, offering a memorable and distinctive taste that we won’t soon forget. Our server suggested that the 30oz Tomahawk comfortably feeds 2 but we find it definitely feeds 4 with snacks, appetizers, and sides. As side dishes, our server warmly substituted roast carrots to squash based on our food preferences. Also, the grilled yam was so great that everyone gives a big thumb 👍 The atmosphere at Bison Restaurant was warm and welcoming. During our visit, a neighboring table was celebrating a birthday, and the entire restaurant joined in singing "Happy Birthday." This created a joyful and communal vibe that made the evening even more special. Bison Restaurant is a standout dining destination in Banff, offering a perfect blend of exceptional food, attentive service, and a cozy atmosphere. Whether you’re refueling after a day on the slopes or exploring the trails, this is a restaurant worth returning to time and time again.

    This spot ranges easily in the top tree dining restaurants in Banff. Lovely service, nice interior and they cook so good. The winelist is a blast - only Canadian wine - love it.
