We are a working family farm that offers country quiet and rural beauty, along with sophisticated dining and unparalleled comfort.

Peace Hill Farm, owned by writer and historian Susan Wise Bauer, is a hundred-acre family farm that raises rare Leicester Longwool sheep, Angora goats, ducks, and chickens.

Our Afternoon Tea & Light Lunch offers you soup, finger sandwiches, sweets, scones, and pastries--plus tea or coffee, of course, along with a full wine list. Linger as long as you like, looking out over working farmland and sheep pastures; add a farm tour with our compliments; eat indoors or out (in nice weather, under the trees; in colder months, in front of the fireplace). Stay as long as you like, breathe deep, and enjoy.

Afterwards, browse our farm store! We produce fiber (fleeces, rovings, and beautifully finished yarns) plus lambs, kids, and free-range duck and chicken eggs.

We offer customized farm-to-table dinners--ask for details

My daughter and I were very pleased with our experience at the Tea Room at Peace Hill Farm! Our attendant was most gracious and had prepared a lovely tiered meal of four different kinds of sandwiches, four different desserts, a special butternut squash soup and a lovely pot of Christmas tea. The most special thing was that the eggs for the egg salad sandwiches came from their farm; the ham on the ham biscuits was from the pork they raised, and the breads were homemade! The ambiance was lovely, too!

Afternoon tea at Peace Hill was absolutely delightful! Louise made a wonderful meal and it was so fun being in the home of Susan Wise Bauer. We’ve used so many of her homeschooling books and it really was such a treat.

I have been out to Peace Hill Farm many times for tea. It is always a delightful experience. It's a beautiful farm with a 19th century farmhouse. All the tea rooms are beautifully furnished. I can't say enough good things about service, and especially the homemade tea sandwiches and pastries that are served. The price is quite reasonable. I highly recommend you book a tea at PHF! Try the chocolate tea!

Highly recommend….We were greeted and hosted by Louise…private dining made for a memorable birthday for my wife…early lunch…charcuterie for 2 …. cold cuts, bread, farm raised ham biscuits, hard boiled eggs, cheese, pimento cheese, pickles, celery, carrots, blueberries, strawberries, and cashews. Later afternoon we had the Tea for 2 …English Tea, finger sandwiches, scones… so much food..we ended taking some home… Wii definitely come back…

Lovely quaint farmhouse setting. The food and tea were excellent. My friend and I had the room all to ourselves. Afterwards we walked around the grounds and got to see a variety of farm animals. Highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of enjoying afternoon tea at The Bed and Breakfast at Peace Hill, and as always, it was a delightful experience. The quaint atmosphere of this charming B&B never fails to impress, providing a serene and cozy setting. The afternoon tea is inspired by traditional UK teas, and it does not disappoint. The selection of finger sandwiches, pastries, and sweets is delightful, but the highlight for me is always the scones. They are simply the best I’ve ever had—fresh, warm, and perfectly paired with clotted cream and jam. Every visit to The Bed and Breakfast at Peace Hill is a treat. The combination of a quaint atmosphere, delicious food, and outstanding service makes it a perfect spot for afternoon tea. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
