We were looking for someplace to celebrate our birthdays and The Beacon at View Boston gave us the complete package. Good food and great service wrapped in an excellent dining experience with an unbeatable view! The prix fixe meal was an exceptional value, full menu options plus a well crafted cocktail and fine wine with the meal and, finally, a luscious slice of chocolate cake to complete our celebration. We were fortunate to dine mid-week, off season so essentially had the place to ourselves. I'm sure The Beacon's July 4th offering would be bustling but what a view for watching the Esplanade fireworks. Certainly, many visitors to our fine city enjoy this experience, but I would recommend The Beacon at View Boston to any locals who enjoy shopping the Pru and enjoy a good meal out with an unbeatable view.

The VIEW of Boston was simply breathtaking which made our experience unique and different. The menu was simple but nice selections. My smashburger was incredible and delicious my husbands' lobster open sandwich was good but he said it needed more flavor, kind of bland. The service was very good and we felt well taken care of.

It was a nice experience and the food was very tasty. The portions are small and limited. I thought they would have more variety of food. Specifically the seafood entrees. I suggest to ask exactly what each packet brings before reserving and prepaying for it. Also when prepaid reservation the tip for the waitress is automatically included and paid for. I didn't like that because the service was not what I expected and the waitress didn't really do a great service. I thought I was going to receive a bottle of champagne with the reservation I made because it states one will receive a brut champagne. It is only one flute that was provided. So basically I paid $25 for one flute of champagne. It is a very small place. The "Top of the Hub" was outstanding and classic compared to the new restaurant that replaced it "The Beacon Bistro". Too expensive for the experience one receives.

Good experience, we went for the Sunday brunch. Check the menu because they have limited options. You need to pay 29$ entrance fee for the attraction, this may refrain people from going more often.

The value is above average considering the view, the experience and the meal. The service by all the members of the staff is above average! The food is nothing exceptional but included in the package its not a loss and worth it. The lobster roll and calamari were both tasty, along with the spirit free drinks. Glad I went, it was a total experience.
