Outstanding food and a superb maitre d’. Let him select your wine choices to accompany the excellent food and don’t let that French accent fool you!

This was our second visit, we came about 3 years ago, from Canada and just had to come back for tea with our 5 year old daughter. We all had a wonderful time, delicious food and great tea in such a beautiful place.

Overall we enjoyed the evening and the meal. The restaurant ambience is somewhat lacking being an overall sludgy colour. It needs a few highlights to lift it. Perhaps the seats could be recovered in a bit of colour. In any case the seats need reupholstered as the seats sag and the back of the leg sits on the front bar making it somewhat uncomfortable over a couple of hours. The menu apart from being a bit restricted in terms of main courses is also a bit too focused on red meat. Perhaps beef and pork would provide a better balance than beef and venison?

the whole experience of being at the Bath Priory; visiting the gardens, have a pre dinner drink in the living room and then experiencing the wonderful meal was a memorable evening. everything went very well. i would highly recommend anyone to stay and dine at the Bath Priory. The other properties owned by the Brownsward Hotel group are also worth investigating. They are fabulous properties. Dont miss the opportunity to look into this Hotel Group.

The food was second to none. The service was great. If there was anything I could think to improve the experience, and I'm being quite picky, that would be to do something to help the room feel warmer (not temparature-wise - but cosy-wise, with more substantial-feeling decor in the dining room)

We have been to Bath Priory many ,many times. Yesterday there was nobody at the reception area to welcome us, we had to go and find someone. We were taken straight to our table and invited to order our choice of tea, which we did. The tea didn’t arrive for a good twenty mins. It was just over half an hour before the food arrived. I have to say the hot part was not as good as normal and served together on the stand . The sandwiches are I hate to say a bit boring. Although the scones were delicious you were very hard pushed to find the fruit. An excellent venue and still a good afternoon tea, but with a charge over a £100 for two would we go again probably not, but definitely for the restaurant and pantry.

I booked an Afternoon Tea for two with 2 glasses of champagne for a celebration of my friend’s upcoming wedding, which I have mentioned during the reservation. We never even got the glasses of Champagne. Considering it did not seem like a busy time and there were not many tables occupied, the service was rather slow and it differed between different tables. The food was lovely and the staff was kind although I was disappointed with the service quality as it was a special occasion booking and it was completely missed.
