   Very nice restaurant, lounge, hotel, and would certainly rate higher but waited a significantly long time for food. 2p reservation and did not seem slammed but I think there was an intermittent wave of customers plus the staff was short of help, as the manager/host lent a hand in helping his waitstaff seat people and deliver food to tables. The food, nonetheless, is great! Ambiance, lovely. Try the Gem Caesar! It’s surreally delicious.

   Everything was outstanding, made our friends anniversary amazing.  I don’t know what you all did with that cauliflower but I could have had 3 rounds of just that and been satisfied!

   The food at the App Room is always incredible. We were seated quickly and overall the experience was good. If there is one negative about the Apparatus Room it’s the slow service. It always appears to be understaffed given the size of the restaurant and considering the potential large volume of people the restaurant can hold. We adore this place for the food and the one of a kind ambiance, but the waitstaff numbers could improve to meet the demand.

   Great experience. Apps were delicious - Pimento cheese & Bread was a hit among our group. A variety of entrees were enjoyed and everyone raved about them especially the steak & potatoes. Desserts were also phenomenal. We'll be back.

   Deseree was a wonderful server…her timing was perfect, she was friendly yet professional, knew the menu, made great recommendations. Best service I have had in a while and I have had a lot of really good service lately. The restaurant itself is welcoming - casual sitting areas as well as a traditional dining room setting and it all melded together. Menu is short and very sweet. I tried all 3 appetizers and all were unique in flavor and presentation . I have a lower salt tolerance and thought the duck was a tad salty, but my dining partner didn’t. The cauliflower had a crunchy topping that just really surprised and tantalized. Slightly spicy and the sauce was a perfect complement. The preserved lemon Brie that came with the Maitake was incredible and side note, also paired beautifully with the duck. The Maitake was delicious and meaty. The bean salad served with the duck could be a dish on its own. Flank steak was beautifully cooked, the potato pave exquisite and loved the vegetables and presentation. Potato tartiflette……dreams are made of this. For dessert, on the recommendation of Deseree, we tried the carrot cake and it did not disappoint. Also had the Basque cheesecake and the cherry sauce was phenomenal. All in all a great evening that I will repeat soon.

   Chris was super knowledgeable and personable. Can’t wait to go back again. Craft cocktails were on point and duck confit was crispy and succulent.

    I want to give this place 5 stars overall, but there were a few too many things that occurred for me to overlook. My husband and I went out to celebrate my work promotion and we chose this place after coming highly recommended by a few people. I love the ambience of the restaurant and while it was a bit loud for my liking, it was still overall tolerable. Our waiter, Rick, was great. It definitely appears that they are short staffed, which I do try to understand as many places are these days, however when it takes probably a solid hour for your main meal to come out, I would definitely appreciate the staff simply saying something, just letting us know it will take a few. The duck confit had great flavor but it was absolutely overcooked and quite dry. I did not mention anything about this, we just carried about our evening and waited for our main dishes to come out. My lobster pasta was good but my husband ordered the flank steak at medium which came out absolutely rare and not even warm to the touch. Someone else had brought our food out as our waiter was busy with a large table, so we had to wait several minutes to get him to come over. He noticed immediately what the problem was before even saying anything and took it back to make a new one and he was very apologetic. A manager (I believe) came out to give him the new one and never said a thing other than she would be back to check how it was, but she never returned. Our waiter provided us with a complimentary dessert, which was very appreciated but definitely not expected. As I stated, I want to give this place 5 starts, I do, but I can’t quite with what happened. I don’t expect freebies or compensation, but there were a few too many issues, albeit some minor, but when added all together, I believe it definitely could have been a better experience.
