Nice food. Dining room very cold. Need a fire like in the bar or heating on for guests. We were told the heating was on when we arrived however the radiators were still cold when we left. I prefer honesty rather than pretend!

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. I am so sorry about the heating, unfortunately our boiler had de-pressurised and we hadn't realised until later that evening. I'm glad you enjoyed your food and we hope to see you again. Kind regards The Anglers Arms

The best mussels I’ve ever had, beautifully cooked and tasted like they were caught that morning. The scampi ditto.

Lovely food and huge portions but very expensive for what it is. I have paid less at rossette award restaurants in the midlands. Staff were very pleasant but a few mistakes, wrong size wine twice and child's dessert never arrived (luckily it was free with the children's meal). If it had been very busy I would have made allowances but it was steady at best. Such a shame, we won't be returning.

We love the Anglers Arms for a Sunday Lunch. Usually the best around, although we were disappointed on this occasion. Meat was dry, Yorkshire puddings were more like crisps and the cauliflower cheese was extremely watery. The lady’s we presume are the Bar & Restaurant managers were extremely attentive and helpful, the younger staff however could do with popping a smile on their faces. Hopefully a one off, as we usually love this place!
