   Fantastic lunchtime dining experience, was not pressured to get to our table, and ended up staying for 5 hrs catching up with friends we hadnt seen for a long period. Great food and service, very polite. A very worthwhile visit. Ian

   A really lovely roast dinner. I had roast beef and it was lovely. All beautifully cooked thank you. The question about noise - noise was fine. The pub was full and was nice atmosphere i wouldn't say it was noisy or not noisy. I had lemon merengue and friend had blackberry mousse i think it was. Friend loved hers as did I. There were no free tables so obviously a popular choice! Looking forward to our works xmas meal there next month ( was fab last year so we are coming back!) x We didnt realise dogs allowed ( i didnt think to check) - next time we will ask for table not close to any if poss as friend is allergic.

   This was our first visit. It's a lovely old pub, but the food on a Saturday lunchtime did not live up to our high expectations, based on visitor reviews we looked at in advance.
