Our Christmas Menu MUST be pre-ordered, it cannot be order on the day of booking.
The Anchor in Danbury is the epitome of an English Country Inn, boasting beautiful traditional beams, quaint shining brass and a warm welcoming atmosphere which has made this pub a firm favourite for many years.
We have a lovely large garden with a fun children's play area, great for keeping the kids entertained while you catch up with friends and family over a relaxing drink or with some great food.
- Four legged friends are welcome at the pub, please ask our friendly staff for confirmation on which areas can accommodate you as we do require that dogs are kept out of the main dinning areas.
- Please note reservations with a dog are necessary, and can only be taken over the phone on 01245 222457 stating you have a dog.
- If you have a pushchair/buggy we ask that you call to make reservation, due to limited space.

    Thoroughly enjoyable lunch for 4 :- 1.Ham, eggs & Chips 2.Sea Bass, Crushed new potatoes, veggies 3.Cheesy cottage pie 4.Fishfinger sandwich with salad, chips All lovely. We will be returning to eat again.

    Overall very god experience. Food was lovely, as were the staff, and served in a timely manner. We were seated just inside the Garden Area which was very noisy due to the presence of the coffee machine. Staff were unable to sign us into WiFi, the mobile signal is very weak at the pub. We will definitely be back.

    We visit here fairly regularly, when we dine with a friend who is in a wheelchair the staff are amazing and open their double doors directly into the dining room, making our welcome warm, inviting and easy. The staff are friendly and professional. The food is amazing, with lovely fresh ingredients. We always enjoy our visits here, can't wait for the next time. Thank you everyone.

    Pleasant atmosphere and ambience. Food excellent and portions were large. Biscoff cheesecake was delicious. All staff very friendly and efficient.Will definitely return.

    I had a side as a starter which was Halloumi but it was way over cooked. Then we had Scampi and Chips and Haddock and chips but the chips were either reheated from another time or just overcooked. Then we had food was pleasantly hot .
