   Always a great time when the place is full of people having a great time …. And then the birthday song comes on …. And the crowd goes wild !!!!! So nice that something’s always stay the same.

   Loved the food, service was great. Three birthdays ( other people) and the candelabra and cake with song came out, someone else blew the Alphorn very fun. After we enjoyed Cheese and Wild Game fondue ( both perfectly portioned and delicious) we ordered the Hunter platter for two and pretzels and Eggplant Schnitzel all terrific, wonderful accompaniment sauces so delicious. We all had beers and desserts. Great time . Until we left. My son hit the large cowbell which with all the excitement all evening seemed like the only thing not enjoyed. The manager came out and scolded us for not buying a round for the customers. Seriously. There should be a sign. We didnt. But i would warn people. Otherwise. Fabulous evening

   So much fun and our server was 10/10. The Ceasar salad and chicken schnitzel always deliver!

   My girlfriend and I made a reservation at the Alphorn the other day. Middle of the day we booked it for around 12:30pm. When we got there, there was no host or hostess to seat us at our table, just an elderly gentleman clearing off a table (he greeted us after about 5 mins of us standing there wondering what’s going on). We get seated and delivered our menus. About 10 more mins go by, and we haven’t even seen the waiter or waitress. There were half the tables filled in the restaurant and it looked like 2 people were serving for 8 tables. 1-3 of them were fairly big parties. We were there for about 25 mins and no one came by to take even our drink orders. 30 mins go by and we get up and leave. Either they need to hire more serving staff (I think I saw the cook come out and start taking orders with how busy they were). Or they need to have a better system is which people don’t feel ignored. Either way, we won’t be back. Maybe in the off season, when it isn’t a zoo. Or until they hire more staff.

   Food was amazing and the gluten free options (beer and gf schnitzel) were delicious! Family also enjoyed their stroganoff and shared meat platter.

   Swiss onion soup was great. Schnitzel was good but vegetables and mashed potatoes were cold. Al in all the food was ok but I had much better Schnitzel.

    This is a continued gem and fam fave. Although it was quiet as we arrived late on a Sunday, the service and hospitality was amazing and not rushed. Food was amazing - cheese fondue and stroganoff. We will be back many mote times on our visits to Blue 👍👍
