An understated storefront hides a coveted skyline view—just one of the many ways you could underestimate this longtime cafe on Mount Baker’s main drag. The menu, the sign—even the name—are a bit of a throwback, but current owners Guy Devillier and David Hoefer took over in 2018 and keep things attuned to today. Carbonara packs more nuance than you might expect, the slightly crackly pizza’s better than it has to be, and the bar pours lambrusco and negroni. No wonder tables are loaded with a diversity of diners.

My wife and I’s Anniversary. We were staying in Seattle for a couple of days to celebrate. We made reservations here based on the reviews and it did not disappoint. It’s a lovely little restaurant the great hospitality and delicious food. We will be back again someday. Thank you for the memorable experience.

One of my favorite places, regrettably had not been in a while so was glad to reacquaint myself with That's Amore. Staff and service were friendly and attentive as I remember, and the food was delicious. Had a nice seat by the window, and while it was dark out, had a nice view.

We went to That's Amore twice in the past 2 weeks, it's that good. The first time we didn't have a reservation, but were able to sit at their small (4 seat) bar and chat up the owner, Guy (who's a really nice Guy)! Our recent visit we were lucky to get a window seat, even though it's hard to see the view at night. There was a family birthday celebration at the table behind us, hence the "moderate" noise level. The servers are excellent. The food is consistently good. My friend's "fresh catch" was halibut on risotto, and while a generous portion, she thought it was a touch dry. I told our server that I couldn't decide on the Alfredo with chicken or the chicken parmesan, and she said I could have both! So they put my chicken parm on top of Alfredo; simply delicious. My only complain is that they have a $35 corkage fee; I'd rather it be $25, but next time I'll try one of their bottles. Highly recommended...but you do need a reservation!

You are so kind, Jeri, to post your 5-Star review and give so many details. Twice in two weeks? We're blushing. We'll keep a closer eye on the fish...thanks for pointing that out. Regarding the Chicken Parm with Alfredo, that dish is collecting a loyal following among a few guests. It is quite good, right? I promise we have plenty of good bottles on our wine list to avoid that corkage fee. Hope to see you soon!

That's Amore is a favorite place to go, knowing the food will be yummy, the staff wonderful, and the ambience comfortable. We had Pepperoni pizza and the Scallopini. Both were delicious! As usual we had the Tiramisu and Affogato for dessert. So good!

We have an absolutely wonderful evening at That's Amore. The food was excellent, and our server was wonderful. The view out of the back window was breathtaking. From the bruschetta, to the salad, to the pasta, to the tiramisu, we were blown away by each course. I had included a note in our reservation that it was my partner's birthday, and each staff member we saw at the restaurant wished her a happy birthday and made sure she had a great exercise. We will definitely come back the next time we have a special occasion to celebrate.
