    We enjoyed a lovely evening at Terroir Bistro. Julia is an excellent server - friendly, attentive, and helpful. For dinner we started with a special - fresh salmon salad atop a flavor-packed aioli. For our main course we choose the braised lamb served in a complex sauce with chickpeas, roasted vegetables, olives and preserved lemon; and the fried chicken served with a red sauce with a hint of garam marsala and creamy polenta. We shared the blood orange upside down cake for dessert. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite of our meal and the bottle of Pithon-Paillé Grololo Rouge 2021 that Julia recommended. We are delighted that Terroir Bistro is in downtown Boise.

    Terroir is one of my favorite restaurants. Sexy space, wonderful staff and the food is exquisite. Ideal ambiance. Friendly, welcoming and casually chic. Love it and highly recommend.

    Dinner at Terroir for their Valentine’s Day prefix menu with wine pairing food was outstanding. My favorite was the salmon tartare with Absentee’s “I love you my dear” 2020.  Can’t wait to visit again.

    Absolutely wonderful experience! I had the steak frites, cooked to perfection while my wife had the lamb which was excellent.

    Sooo good! Exceeding expectations! Had the pate which my husband loves with house pickled veggies, fried olives (crunchy and good to share) and the Welsh rarebit (creamy and punchy flavor). All I would order again. Lamb dish was so flavorful and tender (warm spices and slightly sweet from apricots). Husband order beef bourginon which he cooks at home but he said it was solid and better than he makes which is saying a lot. Butterscotch pudding was sweet, creamy and delicious and chocolate pot de creme was rich and bittersweet. Nice end to a meal with wine. Solid win lists too. We have a young Spanish red and it was a really great pairing. Staff was sweet and accommodating. Wine guy knows his stuff. Will definitely be back!
