   I invited a very good friend for lunch for her 91 Birthday, and we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who guided us to our table. The waitress quickly seated us next to a window which I requested and was very informed and made fine recommendations. The coffee was hot and delicious and the luncheon selections were delicious, beautifully plated and very well seasoned. I must mention a kind gentleman named Sean who stopped by our table and was very cordial and assisted with the guests who were enjoying the ambiance and quality of the Neal we enjoyed. We will visit again, Carolyn Lindsey

   I’ve been here for breakfast. First time for dinner. It was AWFUL. The Brussels sprouts tasted good but it was too oily. The cauliflower steak was tasteless. I asked for the grouper to be grilled, I got pan seared. And it was so dry and overcooked and also tasteless! We asked for salt and pepper and we put so much salt in our food and yet that didn’t help. The cook (definitely not a chef) most likely did not season the food before cooking. The side dish of wilted greens and grain and lemon was once again oily and didn’t taste good. The chocolate cake was severely overpriced— $15 for a small slice. It tasted good but not worth the price— nothing special! I asked for a latte and I got an americano with cold almond milk and I waited so long for the milk that my coffee was cold by the time I got it. My experience was so AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. I am so disappointed! The bill was over $100 and I should’ve gone to The Joinery instead and got a very good and tasty meal at a fraction of the cost and I would’ve been so much happier… my experience would’ve been so much better. Never ever go there again! AWFUL!!

   Service was good… the folks next to us were talking on speaker phone with someone the entire meal…. But not restaurants fault.

   We are not sure about the waitresses food service experience , but it was not up to par. We waited for 5 minutes for the server to come to the table after another server poured water. When she arrived, we both ordered a drink to start our anniversary celebration. About 5 more minutes passed and a different server asked if we wanted bread. Yes we said thank you. But our server was out of sight as we waited for our drinks. And when she did come out to the table area she worked, she would not stop our table on her way out of the room. This happened 3 times in 15 minutes. It literally took 25 minutes to our drinks. When she delivered them, we put the appetizer choice( which we wanted to do 15 minutes before) and our main choices. I could go on and on but the main point is this: bad service, mediocre food, not a good value. And to top it off, NO MENTION of our anniversary which was a comment on the reservation. Last time I will spend my time there….

   Waiter was inattentive and at one point asked how we were doing after not seeing him for 25 minutes and asked us where our food was….?? I said no one brought it. It wasn’t cold but the swordfish was dried out probably because it had been sitting under a heat lamp for an excessive amount of time

   This restaurant offers an outstanding selection of imported beers. If you appreciate that sort of thing, you may want to try the Hecht Schlenferla Rauchbier from Bamberg; a classic "smokebier." Wow! One demerit for the ambiance - harsh overhead lighting, until the management dimmed it about halfway through our meal. Much better!

   My husband's meal of Eggs Benedict was good. However, I ordered a 3 egg cheese omelet that came out very dry. I also wanted fruit as a side (and was told there was an upcharge of $2,00 which I was good with) and wanted a side of toast. I was surprised when the bill came because my omelet was one of the smallest and dryest that I ever had. It was $17.00, the fruit was an extra $2.00 which I was aware of but to my surprise ONE SLICE of toast was an additional charge of $3.00. So, no only did I erroneously think that toast would have been included at breakfast, but, for the additional $3.00, I only received one slice! My husband's meal was quite substantial for the price but mine ended up being much more for much less easy to prepare plain food. We were somewhat regular patrons in the past, but do not plan to go back to this resturant.

    Able to do short term same day reservations. Server was very knowledgeable about food and beverages. A really great experience.
