About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Charming
  • Great for brunch
The original library and drawing room of Taypark House is the perfect home for our impressive restaurant. Each room enjoys uninterrupted views across the botanical gardens and the beautiful, shimmering River Tay. We've sympathetically restored these two rooms to highlight their original features, whilst adding our own modern vintage twist - like the hanging teapot lamps dangling from the ornate plaster ceiling, or the cluster chandelier with pretty, patterned lampshades draped from the central rose. It really is an incredible setting for delicious dining.

Our award winning chef Glenn Roach who has previously held 3 AA rosettes and now already earned 1 AA rosette with his take on home cooking looks to recrate classic dishes and lets the locally sourced produce speak for it self

Didn’t really rate this thought it was very overpriced and quality of food wasn’t the best onion rings were so greasy it was dripping not enjoyable the fish batter was also greasy and thick and overcooked where you would expect light and not over crispy on the verge of burnt.no curry sauce as was told they had ran out of it but on a Saturday at t time you wouldn’t expect there to be none but fair enough that wasn’t really why the score is low

We were very disappointed today. Cups, milk jugs cracked and not very clean. Avocado toast far too hard, although eggs lovely. Husband had to ask for toast, when it came there was no butter just jam. Coffee filter really difficult to push down resulting in the coffee grains mixed with coffee, undrinkable, so I ordered tea. Full tea pot arrived with one teabag, also the pot had old tea stains in it. I'm not sure if they have a dishwasher or do by hand. As someone that has worked as a cook for years I am persnickety about hygiene and quality of food and sadly was very disappointed with our morning breakfast.

Overall very nice experience, with good food. Table service has room for improvement, could be quicker between courses & child’s meal served a good while after adult meals were brought to the table.

Brunch for two my husband enjoyed a full breakfast. I had avocado toast with poached eggs which I really enjoyed just a shame the poached eggs were overcooked.
