Tavi is an Israeli restaurant serving made-to-order pita from a wood-fired oven, elaborately finished hummus plates, and small and large plates drawing from the same modern Israeli inspiration as its sister restaurant, Shaya. The name Tavi is inspired by the Hebrew word meaning “good or beloved” and that’s what Tavi aims to deliver to the Covington community. The menu will highlight staples from the Shaya menu plus an array of small plates, hummus, sandwiches, and slow-roasted meats.

                                                          Our experience at Tavi last evening was outstanding as always! Tavi has become our go to restaurant in Covington for all dining events- holiday or just a casual lunch. Walking through the door into the warm white, airy, tranquil aesthetics brings instant comfort along with friendly greetings as you are seated. Service is immediate with a warm Welcome and cool delicious tall waters. The menu selection provides an array of simple cuisine (all fresh ingredients, warm oven baked pita) and fabulous desserts. The ambiance of atmosphere combined with the friendly hospitality, divine foods, drinks and remarkable service sets the tone for every visit to Tavi! Mr. Mark and Misty always give amazing, professional service with amiable conversation and smiles. We will be back soon!

                                                          We experienced another great evening at tabby restaurant in Covington, Louisiana! It was a Saturday night and by 7:30. The restaurant was almost completely full but We received excellent service, beautifully prepared and delicious food with my favorite of mushroom hummus. Another wonderful meal with lovely ambiance and happy customers.

                                                          We loved everything we ordered, and this was our first visit. Rasta was a sweetheart of a server and very attentive. That fried chicken hummus is delicious but next time I’m ordering the mushroom one because we saw it and it looked divine.

                                                          The food was very flavorful. Great appetizers and small plate options to share which made our dining experience more enjoyable. We never felt rushed. Great place for a date or a large group. We willl be back soon.

                                                          The fried chicken, date salsa verde, tunisian spices, aleppo peppe was excellant. The Ikra, whipped cream cheese, anchovies, shallots, dill was sinful. Impeccable service. Went on a Monday night and the place was 3/4 full, good vibe but could be on the loud side.
