Went for the valentines prix fixe. Food tasted good overall, but at over $400 for two people (4 very small courses and 3 glasses of wine) I can’t say it’s a good value. Service was decent if not particularly attentive. Felt rushed out of the restaurant as soon as we had finished our plates and there was an extra service charge tacked onto the bill that I couldn’t find any mention of on the website or our reservation. Just build fair wages into the cost of the food, don’t surprise your customer when the check comes.

The service was amazing, very personable. Everyone was very kind. The food was just good, not very special in anyway. However, it was pricey, we spent close to $500 for the two of us and we were thoroughly confused. For that amount of money, we felt as if we were lacking something better or more. Especially when we were promised an elaborate meal on Valentine’s. The couple of choices that did brighten our dining experience were the bison tartare and the bone marrow risotto, very tasty.

Valentine’s Day dinner - tables were way to close to one another and the waiter was touching our table and inches away from our drinks while talking to other patrons. Rushed our meal, and gave us the check while we were halfway through dessert. I’ve been to the restaurant 10+ times and have always been impressed but this seriously missed the mark.

Lovely! Our second visit. Service is perfect. Great ambiance. We had the special Valentines menu. The burrata was really creative in the garnish and presentation. Wish bread came with it as just forkfuls of cheese isn’t ideal. The squid ink pasta was very good. Alittle salty. Loved my short rib with polenta. Our desserts were outstanding and the decaf espresso was so good! Will certainly go back for the regular menu.

My girlfriend and I dinned at tavernetta last night to celebrate valentines for their prefix menu tho we were very excited considering the big name and being part of frasca hospitality we were rather disappointed. The first course we got the burrata and bison tartar, burrata was good but felt could have used more beets. Bison tartar had good flavor but the cheese crips felt a bit under and only came with three very small pieces. Next we both got the gnocchi which was the star of the meal. Good flavor rich sauce and gnocchi cooked nicely with the mushroom adding a nice flavor of umami. Next we ordered the short rib risotto and diver scallops. The scallops, very small and lacked seasoning, sun choke pure was runny and under seasoned. The beef short rib tender but under seasoned and the risotto was mushy with barely any risotto on the plate clumpy and had a grey look to it. For our dessert we both had the budion which was nice. Overall a good ambience with the server replacing our silverware and wiping our table between each course which was appreciated. Though our server failed to ask us how our secondi course was. We saw plenty of managers on the floor but not one came to our table to ask about our experience. For $125 per person we expected more in the food and felt the portion sizes were very small. Leaving still hungry and disappointed I don’t think we will be back for a prefix menu again.

Meh. My wife and I arrived on time for our Valentines’s day reservation. It was expected that they would be busy but I was a little surprised that they resorted to a fixed menu which we weren’t made aware of until a week or so after the reservation was made. Restaurant was busy but didn’t feel chaotic. Took them a little bit to seat us but the hosts were great and hung our coats. We noticed our first red flag immediately after being sat. The SA stopped by first and asked for the water order. She didn’t welcome us or introduce herself. Then the server came and asked if we would like to start with something to drink. Still not even a smile really. Fair enough. You’re busy and tired, we get it. Wine for both of us and then we ordered. First course comes, tartare, good. Looks like it’s been sitting though. We eat it. No QC which is interesting. The room we were sitting is at the end of the restaurant so the path of travel around the room is a circle. I noticed that the servers would travel through the room in a clockwise fashion. And there were 3-4 servers in that area. So, effectively 3 servers passed us twice without a quality check. Cool. Then after the tartare dish is taken our server comes by and asks “Did you get focaccia?”. I dunno, did you offer? Were we supposed to eat raw meat without bread or crackers? Aren’t you supposed to keep track? She has another server come by and deliver the focaccia, this guy is a mammoth. I’m 6’ 3” and I had to find a new angle in my neck to make eye contact. He puts one slice each on a little plate, as if it is a course. I look at him, he looks at me. We both know this is stupid. My wife is smirking. The focaccia is oily but tasty. At this point we realize this is a joke. All the accolades and hype are literally just bs. We move forward with the dinner with very low expectations. Next was Nero Pasta. Still no QC. Ordered a new round of drinks. Then for the main course it was short rib or gnocchi. Weak choices for a V-Day dinner.

We went to Tavernetta for Valentine’s Day. They had an incredible pre-fixed menu and they were easily able to accommodate one of us for GF. We also tried their caviar flight (we LOVED) and their wine pairings for the set menu. Overall a great experience and would go back to enjoy again.

The food was generally good (except for the cacio e pepe pasta that was drenched in butter) but very small portions for the price and it was annoying that they were treating bread like a rare commodity (we were given a small slice each after asking; next time leave a small basket on the table: i costs you very little and makes our $80/person dining experience more pleasant)

The service and atmosphere was amazing and we had a great meal. The pasta and fish was quite salty and was not bad but for the price was a bit overseasoned.
