Taverna is a warm and inviting neighborhood restaurant that offers a truly Italian experience without having to leave Texas. Our Italian chefs strive to create the perfect menu using seasonal ingredients for their surprising entrees; every day we present a variety of northern Italian delights from simple comforts such as pan seared sea bass to delicate pasta and fabulous risotto.

Risotto is indeed our flagship dish. We only use Carnaroli rice – the “king of the rice”; thanks to its particular characteristics and firm texture the Carnaroli grain maintains its shape during the slow cooking required for a perfect and creamy risotto. Our broad offering includes truffle oil and Parmigiano risotto, bay scallops with home made pesto and an inspired Vin Santo risotto with asparagus and prosciutto.

A taverna in Italy is a special place where customers become friends and family. Here we celebrate the essence of hospitality and farm-to-table cooking reflecting our authentic Italian style.

                                                                                                Taverna is always excellent, and tonight was no exception. The chopped salad was good, and the Salamino pizza 🍕 was very good. Our waitress was also very good. Banshee is an excellent Pinot Noir. All in all a very pleasant evening.

                                                                                                The food is always superb! My waitress was so good and so nice. I ordered the wrong chicken dish- completely my error. When they served it and I realized my mistake, they whisked it away and told me not to worry. The pasta dish I thought I ordered arrived within 10 minutes and was perfect. I felt so well treated!

                                                                                                We had a lovely evening celebrating our daughter’s birthday here sitting on the beautiful patio. Our waiter, Mousa was great and added to our night being special. They sang and Italian happy birthday which was beautiful. We look forward to going back!

                                                                                                I had the eggplant and others in my party did as well. All the main dishes were excellent. I wouldn’t recommend the bruschetta appetizer. Wasn’t what we were expecting but ever else was excellent.

                                                                                                The food was delicious, our waiter wasn’t very attentive. He would walk away from us while we were still talking to him. My wife and I used use to visit this restaurant often. We stopped when the previous manager left. We thought we would try them again. Not sure if we will visit this restaurant in the near future.
