Taverna is a warm and inviting neighborhood restaurant that offers a truly Italian experience without having to leave Texas. Our Italian chefs strive to create the perfect menu using seasonal ingredients for their surprising entrees; every day we present a variety of northern Italian delights from simple comforts such as pan seared sea bass to delicate pasta and fabulous risotto.

Risotto is indeed our flagship dish. We only use Carnaroli rice – the “king of the rice”; thanks to its particular characteristics and firm texture the Carnaroli grain maintains its shape during the slow cooking required for a perfect and creamy risotto. Our broad offering includes truffle oil and Parmigiano risotto, bay scallops with home made pesto and an inspired Vin Santo risotto with asparagus and prosciutto.

A taverna in Italy is a special place where customers become friends and family. Here we celebrate the essence of hospitality and farm-to-table cooking reflecting our authentic Italian style.

                                                                                                Our waitress was a bar tender and while she would sometimes take a while to make her way back over to us, the service was incredible. I didn’t catch her name, but she recommended us some fantastic wine. The spaghetti alla carbonara is what me and my partner both ordered and it came out very quickly and was prepared wonderfully. Will 100% be returning in the near future.

                                                                                                A childhood friend and I enjoyed our lunch at Taverna-Legacy West. The group of servers were attentive, friendly and helpful. Our choice of entrees were delicious especially the salmon dish.

                                                                                                The atmosphere and design in Taverna is really unpretentious, fun and easy going. No need to dress up, you can still watch your favourite sports on tv screens around the walls. But service was absolutely perfect and the food was a huge surprise! We were 4 hungry adults on a Sunday night, the place was packed (10 days to Christmas). Everything we ordered, focaccia, bruschetta, salad, Bronzino, pasta, chioppino, drinks, and more was absolutely amazing! Fresh, done right and very tasty. We get to go to many restaurants together, and it’s unusual for all 4 of us to be that happy with everything we order! If you like very tasty Italian food, in a casual atmosphere- go to the taverna! We’ll be back for sure!

                                                                                                Horrible! Arrived and ordered 2 starter dishes. Server was late with half our appetizer order to the point we asked to cancel the dish that never arrived and order our main entree dishes instead. Approximately 25-30 minutes after we place our order, he came back and asked us to repeat our order because he forgot to provide it to the kitchen. I didn’t oblige and requested my check for the focaccia and drink. Left hungry and upset with little the experience. Reservation was at 12:45 left a little before 2pm, seriously unacceptable.
