   Purpose of my reservation was to celebrate my wife’s birthday. My main and only true criticism is that our waitress had very little interest in caring for our table. Once I received my ticket I understood her lack of effort. When we finally received the bill for the table, I noticed that there was a 18-20% gratuity already included. I feel very strongly that if the waitress is going to be paid regardless of their effort, then why bother. Also the machine brought to the table asked if we wanted to add a “tip” in addition to the one already included in the bill. The food in itself was very good, however my main problem is that my wife and I NEVER received our meal course at the same time. My wife’s appetizer came out about 10 minutes before mine arrived at the table. Then my main course came out 15 minutes after my wife’s. That being said we had to eat separately or wait on the other to arrive to eat together. One of the gentleman there I believe realized what was happening and came to talk to us while we waited and volunteered to take us on a tour of the facility. I am not attempting to bash the restaurant because the meal in itself was awesome. However the difference between a good experience and a “great” experience was our waitress assigned to us upon arrival. I will hope and pray that the small things can be resolved in a manner that will benefit the community. I am not a resident of Jackson, however I was really glad to see the investment into the city and hope that the small issues can be resolved expeditiously.

   Shoutout to Munchie for the awesome service. The food was great. The decor and lighting created a nice ambiance. Drinks came right out and orders didn’t take long to prepare.

   Everything was so nice, food was very well seasoned 10/10, drinks was great. We’ll most definitely be back.

   Lacked staff and it showed. Husband’s order never arrived. Waited for over an hour just for my food, which were appetizers

   First time at this location. The food was excellent the service was great. Was a very nice night out for dinner. I recommend the restaurant.

   It was overall ok. We had a reservation and had to wait to be seated and had to sit by the restroom and on top of that my son felt very uncomfortable because he couldn’t sit back in his seat because the “young” lady behind him kept trying to make fun of him like he was too close and bothering him! So it ticked me off and made me very uncomfortable!!!

   Everything was phenomenal from the food to the drinks to the customer service. I love how they had a lady playing the saxophone to some good R&B songs. My first time going and I just say I will be returning. 10/10 definitely recommend.

   Didn’t really like my food got the oxtail with pasta and it was just served very heavy with gravy. It didn’t taste bad.

   This was my second time at Taste. Keith was very polite and had the most wonderful smile. The oysters had too many chared flakes on them. I know they are char grilled but I shouldn’t be crunching on the pieces. Also I had two French 75’s and my second one was not full! Looked like someone had already taken a gulp of it! I would’ve got 3 because they taste so well but I was afraid the bartender would cheat me again so I didnt bother

    This is my third visit at taste and I have yet to be disappointed! Employees all were very nice and engaging, even the chef came out to ask how everything was. The drinks were great as well as the food, would definitely be visiting again!
