Tapas Revolution is in Grand Central Station in Birmingham.

Their food philosophy comes straight from the heart of Spain, where the vibrant and and dynamic street culture of cities like Madrid has inspired this chain to bring those regional flavours abroad.

With Spaniards behind the menu, you can expect all of the traditional spread of picoteo, carne, pescado, charcuterie and begetables to create a mouthwatering array of tapas dishes. Dessert comes in the form of Spain's famous Churros, made with the same techniques and a heavenly dose of sweet cinnamon, sugar and chocolate dipping sauce. Enjoy some post-siesta drinks with the chefs personal blend of Sangria, try one of their special cocktails or survey their specialist Gins.

General Manager: Dan Robinson
Executive Chef: Cristian Parisi / Pedro Antonio Lopez Grijalbo

When shown to the table the staff were very friendly. I ordered a bottle of still water while I waited for my friends to arrive. Friends drinks arrived okay but no sparkling water available. Once we had chosen our food and started ordering we were told there were no chicken wings. We asked what else was not available. The waiter went to find out but never came back with an answer. No Potatas Bravas but we could have fries with the sauce. We placed our order. The fries turned up first - just warm. There was then a long delay before the other elements minus the meatballs turned up. The food was only just warm, the paella had two prawns on it and not a lot of other seafood and the rice was stuck together like uncle bens from a packet - tasted like it too. When we asked for the bill and told them the meatballs had not arrived he said they had realised these had gone to another table but they had not replaced them or apologised to us. We told them to make sure they were removed from the bill. They removed the service charge and the meatballs but then we had to get up to pay as no one returned to the table for payment. The restaurant was not even busy - 4 to 5 tables of people The supervisor stood by and watched with no comment or apology. I will not be returning as the service and food was shocking. Such a shame as I was really looking forward to it.

Service was very poor. We were waiting 20 minutes to be asked what we would like to eat and drink and that was only because we got up and walked out. Staff were just chatting. Someone brought food to us after being there one minute. We told them that the food was not ours, so they just put it back on the pass rather than to the right table. It was there a while.

Absolutely dreadful. Food was unbelievably bad.A complete rip off. Things on the menu were unavailable, but we were not told. We were served the wrong wine, and the staff had no clue what they were doing. Spain would be horrified that this chain were calling themselves a Tapas restaurant. Avoid at all costs.

We have dined here on several previous occasions and the food has always been excellent. This occasion was no different. We were, however, enormously disappointed with the drinks menu. My wife requested a diet Coke and was told they had run out. I asked for a San Miguel Zero and - again - this was unavailable. Both were listed on the menu! As a consequence we settled for tap water!

Came for tea with my daughter as she fancied tapas. Lovely welcome and service our server did not stop. Food came out at mixed match times, we ordered the charcuterie board as a starter and this came last along with a salad. The selection of food is great makes a hard decision! We enjoyed everything we ordered especially the paella, we wished there was more!!

Food was decent and tasty, even though had to wait for a few items longer than should have. Service was poor, believe it was down to lack of experience. Limited drinks available which was poor especially as was Saturday early evening.
