   Food was okay, very salty and portion was not up to par, or expectations. But, what saved the night was the bumping DJ, the jams were literally a whole mood. Almost started dancing, actually did dance. Definitely recommend this place for the vibes and ambience, NOT the food. My entree was smaller than my dessert, but more expensive. Buddha was big and good for pictures, but use flash, very dark in there.

   One of our favorite's in NYC. Atmosphere is great, if you like a very lively, club like feel. Food is excellent as well as the service. A must stop every time we are in town.

   Made a 6:30 reservation. Was seated at 8pm. This was a special birthday dinner and they wrote 'Happy Anniversary' on the dessert. Staff was extremely overwhelmed.

   Been here many times and been to Tao's all over the world. Brought all our appetizers out at once 2yellowtail jalapeño, crispy rice spicy tuna, lollipop chicken, edamame, and 4 orders of Chilean sea bass satay. It t didn't even fit in the table. Almost fell off. 2 of us gave up our app plates. Felt rushed like I was in a fast food restaurant. Not sure why thing have changed, but this was odd!

   The food was excellent. We were seated under a speaker and we could barely hear our table mates. In addition, it seems I was seated in a walkway with another seat at another table close behind me so people kept bumping into my chair. We would have lingers over the food and maybe had desert but the noise and seating were too uncomfortable.

   I had initially booked Uptown however we decided at the eleventh hour to change to Downtown with no issues. Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly doormen and ushered through the doors to the reception point. We were seated pretty quickly and my Bestfriend was presented with a birthday card from Tao which I thought was a lovely touch, considering I had booked last min. The food came out pretty quickly and the portions were huge! The Orange Chicken is a MUST!! My friend was also presented with a birthday platter on the house which again I’m so grateful for as my booking was last min. We loved every min of it and will be bk.
