   Disappointed - seemed overpriced, skimpy portions. Will say the Dinner and a show was a great special- thank you. This is why we chose this restaurant over other in the area.

   We went for the bottomless brunch. First time since the reopening. Loved the fact they gave one of everything on the list. All portions were great for two hungry people! Favorite was the chilaquiles and the jackfruit tinga tacos (surprising because I am a MEAT person 100%) HOWEVER the spices and flavor were spot on. My boyfriend loved the mahi mahi tacos. Also, special mention for the ceviche! Love the charred peppers used! We were so full we didn’t have seconds.

   We dined at Tamayo before going to a play at the DCPA. We had the quesobirra tacos, the Bonita guacamole and tortilla soup. Every one of them was absolutely fabulous. I particularly enjoyed the tacos and the guacamole.

   Just visited after the remodel and unfortunately the place went significantly downhill. The remodel looks like 50's cancun meets 60's acid trip, and the new electronic shade windows don't block the light. New menu deleted all the best dishes like all salads and fajitas, and the $17+ tacos are now appetizer sized without telling you that. This used to be our favorite place near DCPA but just moved all 6 of my upcoming resv. Unfortunate.

    As with all of Chef Sandoval's operations, the food is the star. From flavor to plating to portions, nothing, with any item, was even 1% off. Especially interesting take on Caesar Salad but I could say that about any of our dishes. Service, likewise, was very attentive and friendly and the remodeling is mostly good though the sun, and heat, coming in from the windows needs addressing. It won't get better for months and curtains, shades or even window tinting is needed for the comfort of an entire side of the main floor. The one weak spot is the front host stand. Indifferent to less-than-able. A welcoming smile? Nope. Bringing people to a good table? Not, moved. Any sign of knowing the job? Again, no. As the saying goes, "you don't get a second chance to make a good first impression". To be sure, we left happy and will return but the front stand needs attention. I'm sure it will be obvious soon.
