Tastes like home, felt like home and made me miss home so much more. I haven’t been back to Philippines in 5 yrs and going to so many Filipino restaurants to try find places that can capture the taste has been hard, takam as a whole, the food, the chef, the staff and the ambience was perfection. So proud to find a place I can highly recommend

If you're looking for a Filipino dining experience in Sydney that will make you feel at home, look no further than Takam! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service that instantly sets the tone for an unforgettable meal. The food is nothing short of spectacular. Their Lumpia de Shanghai is a delightful starter-fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavours. The King Prawn Palabok is a masterpiece, with perfectly grilled prawns resting on a bed of rich, flavourful noodles topped with vibrant garnishes that elevate the dish to new heights. And for dessert, the Leche Flan is simply divine, with a silky texture and just the right amount of sweetness to end your meal on a perfect note. The ambiance is cozy yet stylish, creating the perfect setting for enjoying a feast that truly celebrates Filipino cuisine. Whether you're Filipino or new to the cuisine, you'll feel an immense sense of pride in every bite. Takam has truly brought the flavours of the Philippines to Sydney with heart and soul. Highly recommended— don't miss out on these dishes!

Incredible dining experience at Takam. The place was buzzing on a Friday evening. We settled in for some cocktails which were excellent, amazing fusion of tropical vibes with some traditional Filipino elements like ube, pandan, and calamansi. The food was also next level. The elevated Filipino dishes were the perfetc balance of modern, while still retaining those traditional flavours. A favourite was the chargrilled prawn palabok and the inasal. But the finale of one of the best leche flans we've ever had, silky and smooth and just absolute heaven.

Such an incredible meal—amazing food, inventive cocktails, and beautiful service. More than once, we found ourselves saying, “This might be the best version of [x] I’ve ever had,” whether it was the chilli margarita, the chicken, or the flan. And for just about everything else, we kept saying, “Wow, I’ve never had anything like this before.”

It was really good we had the chicken inasal and the litson beef brisket and it was so hard to choose which one was better. A really good twist to filipino cuisine. Loved the experience would definitely recommend!
