   Creative/eclectic decor. Lively yet could still carry on a conversation. Very good menu, quality, portions. Wait staff was very attentive.

   Absolutely wonderful experience! The decor inside was lovely, the owner dave was the best, and the food was absolutely spectacular! Would definitely recommend this gem of a restaurant!

   We love Sweet Basil on Moody and come here every year on Valentine's Day. We know it's going to be crowded, which hasn't been an issue in the past. We were seated in a section with four tables, and ours had a very comfortable high-backed purple velvet chair, which I loved. Our waiter was very friendly and helped us with recommendations. The food was fantastic, and we loved everything we had (I highly recommend the rosemary chicken). The only concern I had was that the table next to ours had the owner/manager and staff checking on them throughout their meal. We didn't get the same level of service. We were never given the bread we requested, and no one came by for a while so we couldn't let them know. No one asked how our meal was throughout the night, which I did find disappointing. While we know Valentine's Day will be crowded, it's hard to watch the table next to you get fantastic service, the service we expected from previous experiences here, and not get the same attentive staff. We did have a different waiter, but every customer should be treated the same.

   Excellent homemade pasta. Bolognase to die for. Meatballs that could be it's own meal. Olive oil cake and flourless chocolate cake made to make you leave room for desert. Servings are more than enough. Service is timely, affable, and non-intrusive. Valentines was full, but you never felt closed in. We have been several times and and have never been disappointed.

   Honestly I want to love this restaurant. But the menu is limited and recerything comes Over sauced and over cheesed. It’s hard to discern between the eggplant involtini and the meatballs. Everything is one note(the red sauce overload). The ceasar was meh and the anchovies was very fishy (wondering if it was fresh). Linguini and clams was overwhelmed by sausage and peppers - such an odd pairing. It all just seems too over the top to warrant the prices

   Just very average Italian food in my opinion. The ambient is decent, but it smelled bad, tables and chairs looked really old. Service was good, waitress was helpful and nice and gave us some wine to taste. The chicken parm had a huge amount of tomatoes and I did not like that the pasta was served separately.

    Very disappointing, ordered the eggplant. Had it a few weeks ago at the same restaurant and location and it was excellent. Not sure what happened??? Drinks were excellent and salad was wonderful. Not sure we will go back.
