Was really looking forward to today's luncheon but the restaurant should have been closed. They had an infestation of fruit flies as a result of the neighboring property having an incident. After killing two flies and then seeing another one on my appetizer, we decided to leave. They did not try to charge us for the appetizers. Sorry to say, I will never revisit this restaurant. Ended up at Milano's, which is fairly new, and I would give them 5 stars!

Service was good, went right in and was seated on time. Waiter keep the drinks filled and appetizers came right out. The Chicken Parmesan was seasoned well and had the great crust and cheese. The only negative is that gnats were able to come in the main door and was annoying while eating.

Ordered the eggplant parmesan, the sauce on the noodles was so spicy it was inedible. The eggplant was awful. Not good at all. Also tried to charge me for a gelato that was supposed to be included with kids meal per the menu.

This was an amazing place to eat. The service was very quick and super friendly. We were recommended wonderful wines and the best part of the night was their tiramisu. You have to try it!

Sugo Italian bills itself as a bastion of Italian cuisine, but upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that this establishment leans heavily on the Americanized interpretation of Italian food—leaving authenticity as an afterthought. While the menu boasts dishes such as Fettuccine Alfredo, Veal Marsala, and Eggplant Parmesan, the execution falls short of delivering the soulful flavors one would expect from a truly Italian culinary experience. The absence of Parmigiano-Reggiano—a cornerstone of Italian cuisine—is particularly disappointing. Instead, the dishes lack the depth and nuance that only quality, authentic ingredients can provide. The use of balsamic reduction in dishes like Pasta Balsamica speaks more to pandering to American palates than to staying true to Italian roots. Creativity in the kitchen also seems to be on hiatus, with dishes feeling formulaic rather than inspired. The ambiance, rather than enhancing the experience, detracts from it. Service is brisk, bordering on rushed, with an apparent focus on turning over tables quickly rather than allowing diners to savor their meals. The hurried pace is antithetical to the leisurely and convivial spirit of Italian dining, where meals are a celebration, not a transaction. Moreover, hygiene and presentation issues abound. A noticeable gnat problem mars the dining environment, and the sight of a food runner clad in pajama pants undermines any semblance of professionalism. Details like these suggest a lack of attention to both the customer experience and operational excellence. In a region saturated with Italian-American establishments, Sugo had an opportunity to stand out by offering a more authentic and elevated dining experience. Instead, it blends into the crowd, providing neither the authenticity of a true Italian trattoria nor the polish of a contemporary dining destination. For those seeking a genuine taste of Italy, this may not be the spot. Final Verdict: Sugo Italian promises much but delivers li

Service okay and food was delish. However, gnats and fruit flies very bad at table and in restrooms. Very hard to enjoy food eat with so many of them on drinks and food.

Honestly not the best experience for us. The food wasn’t fantastic. Pasta was overcooked and the mushrooms in my primavera were not washed. Nothing quite like a mouthful of dirt in your mouth. I usually write about the restaurants we visit when we travel and post pictures and reviews on social media. I decided not to write about this one. My husband’s chicken parm was overcooked as well. The breading was so dark and the bucatini was almost mushy. I’m sure they can do better. Hopefully it was an off night.

Service was pretty slow. Food quality was about average for Italian food and it was very noisy. Overall they could do a much better job. Pick one and be great at it. food, ambience, service, price. Pick one.
