Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
StoneHouse Chaffee Crossing offers an exceptional dining experience with "amazing food" and "attentive service." The steaks, especially the porterhouse, are praised as "the best" by many diners. The ambiance is inviting, with a beautiful porch area and outdoor seating. Although it can be pricey, the quality justifies the cost.

We had to wait to wait over 20’minutes for each course even though the waiter took our order when we sat down. He only came to the table a few times. Different people brought the food and no one checked drinks or if we needed anything. We waited for 15 minutes after finishing dinner for the waiter to come back and ask if we were ready for dessert. We said yes and still had to wait 25 minutes for the dessert to be brought out. We had it bagged to go. The only time the waiter was quick was when he wanted to be paid. He brought the check and my husband was counting new bills and he came back immediately and asked if it was ready. We probably won’t be back. To pay that much for a plate and do nothing but wait all night is miserable.

I was very annoyed by the fact we stood 15 mins beyond our 6:45 reservation. We arrived 5 mins late but the restaurant indicates allowing a 15 min grace period. It made my whole evening rushed. It was Michelin star prices in fort smith Arkansas. $300 is fine it just never indicated on the reservation that would be the case. I was looking forward to treating my husband to the porter house. But the roses were lovely and he waiter was decent.

Our Valentine's Day was so perfect at Stonehouse! We picked our courses for our meal and every thing we got was excellent. I chose the lobster scampi and it was a little spicy for my taste buds, but it tasted very good. My husband chose the bacon wrapped filet mignon. I ate most of mine even though it was somewhat spicy. They had live music and the ambience was so romantic. Lots of flowers everywhere; and I got a long-stemmed rose as we left. We've eaten here on other occasions and it was perfect then too. We've sat outside most times, but obviously it's winter so we were inside. We've never had a negative experience with Stonehouse. Highly recommend them for anyone wanting a unique experience. I also love the history of the restaurant (being a retired school teacher). It adds to the experience. They enclosed the patio in the last year to add more inside dining; but it still feels like you're outside with all the windows on the enclosed patio. We can't wait to go back in the summer months for some live music!

Great service. Took a bit for drinks. We ordered firecracker cauliflower. Very good just not hot at all, asked for a side of sriracha sauce. That was the ticket! The butternut bisque was wonderful! My husband had the French onion soup, said it was too creamy for him. He prefers more of a broth for the soup. Tasted good otherwise. Entree was seafood risotto. Great flavor, risotto was either not risotto and rice or very under cooked. Still tasted good. Order bread and butter half way through our meal (didn’t think of it). Took a long time. I guess they bake it fresh, it was really good, but butter was very hard - tore up bread to spread. Had crispy Brussels and mushrooms as sides. They were wonderful! Overall a good experience. Much improvement from previous visits which has kept us away. A $200 dinner, but for what we ordered it was fair. Ambience was very nice. I would recommend.
