STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Great food starts with fresh, local ingredients. Our kitchen prepares everything from scratch, and our signature raw bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

What a beautiful & fun place! The bar is incredible and so unique with the windows that open up for patrons to sit outside and have a drink. The food and service was top notch! Great cocktails too!

Taylor, our server, was incredible! He really made sure we were taken care of and well informed of any kitchen wait times. We could tell he was an experienced server and committed to excellent service. I’ll be requesting him when I come back!

I think my 2 star rating says it all. I was visiting from out of town and found them online as highly recommended. As a Chef, I do not recommend.

It started out well, but then the bartender who was taking care of us took a break. We got ignored from there on out. We waited 10-15 minutes to get silverware for our next course. I tried flagging down several different people behind the bar to no avail.

Our server Carly I think was exceptional. Best dining experience I’ve had in a long time. 10/10! Definitely get the Char grilled oysters, the crab soup, and salmon. You won’t regret it.

Appetizers were excellent! Truffle fries and oysters Rockefeller were really good. My amaretto sour was perfect. Salmon and chicken caprese were good but too much farro.
