   We quite enjoyed this restaurant. First time visit on NYE for us. The wine was excellent, service friendly and the atmosphere like a family restaurant. Natalie was great and helped guide our experience. Fresh seafood - I had the octopus and it was perfectly Cooked and not rubbery. The owner accidentally touched my purse with his foot and somehow we started talking about cats. He asked how many I had and I jokingly said 37. His EYES got huge. I said I was j/k and had three…he does too. Highly recommend. Nothing like a fellow cat owner!

   They need way more staff, we were sharing a bunch of enteees and food came and it took 10-15 min to get sharing plates and silverware. Drinks also took 45 minutes. We have been before and food is good but it's now a terrible dining experience.

   Food ranged from not good to just passable. We sat outside, which was nice. Inside was noisy. service was well meaning but slow, and inept. We ordered what was billed as bouillabaisse. It was served in a plate not a bowl, cost $32 and consisted of a decent broth, 6 shrimp, a dozen calamari and a crab that had no meat inside.

   Had great service, why I ordered wasn’t really what was expected but management made sure I left satisfied and happy which we absolutely were!

   I needed to post this review since my last visit and review on this site as well as in Plate magazine and Google in August was so spectacular. After ordering, our server informed us that they could not make my wife's surf and turf burger since they were out of buns. A menu was brought back. After considering options, she suggested that they could use the small plate buns and she would put it together herself. A few minutes later, our server returned stating that it was the burgers they were out of (!?) Why ground beef could not be purchased earlier (we were there at 430) or even get some from another restaurant from the Grove Bay group is beyond me. Outside of that, all the food we had was uninspired. The Calamari had NEITHER salt nor pepper. My octopus was fair, additionally, no salsa verde nor asparagus as is on the online picture. Crabcake was over browned on one side and barely touched on the other. The manager was only visible when we came in but did not intervene with the situation my wife had occurred. Table touches are critical especially when you have to tell a guest NO. We were disappointed that most of the outstanding items that were on the menu in August have been taken off.

   My only complaint would be, that our table was not ready at the time of arrival which was for in door sitting. We had to sit outdoors, because the table was still occupied by other patrons. Other then this, the food and service were very nice.
