Stein Brewing Company has expanded and opened their second location under the guidance of Award winning Executive Chef Erin Stevens. We are in the heart of downtown Newark on 23 West Church Street. We feature a fabulous menu of amazing handhelds, appetizers, burgers and other Pub food to please everyone. Full service wine, liquor and beer featuring our 36 tap self service tap wall that has our locally made draft beers as well as favorites from around the state and country plus crafted cocktails.

We have outdoor patio seating and take reservations for parties of 2or more. SBC also offers our online or call waitlist/call ahead seating option (740-830-6799). We have a rentable 15-30 person party room for functions, have abilities to cater your events or functions with our food truck or catering services and more.

Had a lot of fun in our group of 8. Food was great. Only suggestions I have is; water should automatically be served at the table, and not have to ask for it 3 times. The 36 taps should be numbered, instead of the screens of 3 being numbered. Otherwise, great time.

The service was extremely slow. We waited an hour for our appetizers and the for another 45 min. The Philly cheese steak had clumps of cheese & little veggies, barely covered half of the bun. My fathers fish sandwich was soggy that he only ate half of it. We have been there 3 times and this last one was not desirable. Service was EXTREMELY SLOW. Had to ask to remove plates & get refills. We will hold off on making another trip for awhile.

Food was wonderful and night was fun at SBC. The delay in receiving our food was the only thing we thought needed to improve. Experience was fun.

Pleasant find - wait staff very attentive. Parking was easy. Great selection of beers - both from the brewery itself as well as other Ohio options. Plan to return!

Our server was great! Very personable and was up front about the wait time on food. Which was fine, self serve beer was a lot of fun! The food was amazing. Can’t wait to go back.

Reservations for 6pm sat down little before 6. Ordered right away because we were going to a concert and needed to be out by 715. Didn’t receive our food until 655. We did order an appetizer that came out right away but it wasn’t hot so my guess is they prepare appetizers ahead of time get them to the table then want you to sit and drink until food is ready. Which maybe fine if you drank and weren’t in a hurry. Once we got our actual meal it was good but had no time to actually eat it. So if on a schedule I would recommend going on a day when you aren’t busy and have time to wait.

We were there a month ago and thought the service and food was good but only had 3 people with us. Last night we brought friends and family a party of 8 and it was clear they were not prepared. Wait staff took our drink order and never came back for another 1/2 hour to get a dinner order. Once our order was placed it took another 45 minutes to receive our food. We kept on seeing appetizers delivered to people that arrived after us. We had show tickets and shared that with the wait staff, good thing I made the reservations for 2 hours before hand because we needed every minute of that to eat. We won't be back.
