Star Rover Sound is throwing it back to the great American steakhouse, an institution that transcends time and trend. Steak Dinners at Star Rover will offer the complete experience – cut in-house steaks paired with crisp salads and crisper cocktails, bottomless triple-cooked fries and onion rings, fresh-baked dinner rolls, live music, and good times.

Just like the 1970s West Texas steakhouses that Chef/Owner Ford Fry so fondly remembers, guests will be reintroduced to an era when steak dinners weren’t just for special occasions but were an everyday luxury – complete with checkered tablecloths, a candlelit glow, and Sharpies for signing the walls.

    Truly enjoyed our experience at Star rover! Great steak good drinks! Wish the restaurant cleared away the tables and had a second band/ musician after the dinner time show and served drinks offered a space to enjoy the music and dance! I enjoyed my time but it sure does close shop super quickly!

    I’ve been here many times and typically love it. But this time in particular I asked for a simple jack and coke and was charged $22 because they only have single barrel. You need to tell your customers that’s the case so they can decide if they want to spend that much money on a drink.

    Steaks were tasty. Good value. No bread was offered. Had to ask after the steaks were tabled. Drinks went empty.

    Absolutely wonderful experience. The menu is simple and excellent, the rolls are unbelievable, the desserts are amazing, the music is always spot on, and the service is next level!!!!!!

    Can't say I loved the experience. The steaks were excellent but the sides needed more variety. Onion rings and fries with nice cuts of steak just didn't fit in my opinion. The fries were overcooked and the onion rings were over battered in my opinion. A mashed or baked potato with an option of a vegetable I think would have made all the difference. Also, I noted that it was a birthday dinner on the reservation and a guest had to remind the waitress, showing that no one is communicating special occasions being noted on the res which begs the question why ask for patrons to specify if you aren't going to read the res. Also, we were given the option of two tables. One being directly in front of the stage and the other being one table behind that. I know Nashville is a music town and the music didn't start till 9pm but no one wants to sit right on top of the band while they are trying to have dinner.

    Food is solid. Drinks very reasonably priced and good. Music excellent. Great sound in the room. Vibe perfect. Service just okay to be honest. Will comeback again.
