   The food and service was incredible!!!! We had the butterleaf and sweet potato arugula salad. For main course we had steak and Lamb Gnocchi and added the grilled sourdough bread and Brussels sprouts. For desert we did the Afagoto. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant. The waiter was also so pleasant and made great recommendations!!!!!

   Great spot in Pacific Grove. Right on the main street among other restaurants, bars and inns. Menu has options ranging from salads, soups, seafood, pastas / carbs, and proteins. And the dessert menu is top notch. We ordered the duck pate, octopus, mussels, duck breast and pasta special which was a spaghetti bolognese with lobster and scallops. Everything was well made, good size portions, and very delicious. This is a really good neighborhood bistro with top notch service. Must go for any visitors and the locals in PG are very lucky to have the Spotted Duck.

   Excellent food. The steam mussels was outstanding, so tender and the broth was amazing. Our waiter Noah was the bomb, for sure going back and asking for him to serve us.

   My wife and I went with our friends; we were able to share a couple of appetizers (the octopus and the pate). My wife and I then shared the seared duck breast. Our friends had the polenta and the scallops. Since we all shared a couple of bites, I can say that all dishes were excellent. Our server, Nick, was great; very professional, attentive, and friendly. We will come back!

   I’ve been meaning to get into this restaurant since it opened and finally made it in. The food was fabulous. Highest quality ingredients. The Duck Pate was so yummy, I can wait to go again for that starter. I had the Duck breast and my husband had the special of the night which was a mushroom risotto and both of us totally enjoyed our entrees. The homemade sorbet was so special and a great way to end the meal. Oh and the wine list, well priced and a great variety.

   Delicious duck, sea scallops and chocolate and berry pot de creme. Beautifully plated, attentive waitperson. Worth driving the 2.5 hours to Pacific Grove for this meal. Excellent.

   We tried this restaurant for the first time, and were very pleased. The pricing on various items were very reasonable. Some of the dishes we enjoyed were excellent, others were good. There was a very rowdy group in the restaurant that made it incredible difficult to hear, but once they left the volume was better and you could hear the restaurants music playing. We will definitely return!

    A labor of love from the Chef and Partner makes for a lovely dining experience. Truly great value, well crafted food preparation with complex flavors. Menu writing and execution are flawless.
