First of all, our server, Lindsey, was excellent. When we first ordered, she warned me that the prime rib was coming out more medium well than medium rare. I decided to give it a chance. My husband ordered the wild mushroom pasta and added shrimp to it. Drinks, salad, bread, and french onion soup were good. Our food arrived, and I was served the most mournful piece of meat I've seen in a long time. It was well done and definitely not worth anything near $60. I don't even think it was 16oz. It was sliced pretty thin for prime rib. The au jus was the only thing that made it edible. I was warned, so I didn't send it back. My husband liked his pasta. However, it only came with one shrimp. He had to order and wait for 2 more shrimp. The menu did not specify that when adding shrimp, you would only get 1. It could have been much clearer. Dessert time! I ordered the chocolate mousse, and my husband got the creme brulee. He liked his, but the mousse tasted like coffee. I didn't remember reading that on the menu, so I asked our server. After speaking with a couple of people (one of whom confidently declared that chocolate mousse is made with coffee. I have never had it prepared that way) it was determined that the chef makes it with espresso beans, but they don't say so on the menu. I dislike coffee and certainly don't want surprise espresso at 8:30 at night, so it was sent back. We may give Speers another chance. Everyone has bad days, right? But the fact that a place trying to be a high-end steak house sent out that embarrassing piece of meat in the first place gives me pause. There are much better options in the area.

I took my wife and two daughters for a Saturday Valentine’s Day dinner. Everything we had was delicious. The drinks were good, appetizers were great, entrées were amazing. We really enjoyed our experience with our server, had a great personality. Everything came out timely, he was very attentive. It was just an incredible experience

Overall it was a decent experience. Wait service was solid. I was skeptical since reviews said otherwise but our waitress was great. I took off a star because seating exp was poor. We got there 10 min to our res and watched 6 tables get seated before us. Despite that we really only waited around 10 minutes or so. It just felt odd. Also, we requested a booth and if not possible then a seat next to the fireplace. I asked through the msging feature on OpenTable so not sure if they saw. If they did they made no effort because as we were seated 2 booths were available and also a two top literally right next to the fireplace. We even asked to be moved but they said all the other seats had a res. Other than that it was smooth sailing. We started w/ 2 dirties and oysters. We’d prob skip the oysters. I enjoyed but my wife didn’t. Shared the blackberry salad, delish. My wife got the crab cake app as an entree which was very good and a smart play cause it was rich and bigger than a baseball. I ordered the 10 oz fillet medium. It came out medium rare to rare which I was ultimately fine with. I’m not picky and strategically ordered it over my usual of medium rare having asked the waitress what she would recommend ordering to get a hot pink center and she advised medium. It came warm red in the center. Again, I’m not picky. It had a great crust and paired excellent with the cab we brought. Highly recommend BYOB. $20 corking fee but our bottle would have cost hundreds had we bought it there. We also got 2 sides. We wanted the potatoes au gratin but they were 86’d so we went loaded mash & carrots. Loaded mash were insanely good. Carrots not so much. We chose to skip dessert and hit the bar for a digestif. Bar was cool. Nice crowd and good vibes. Overall, it was exactly what I’d expect for a new steak joint that’s settling in. It has the potential to be a 5 star restaurant. I would encourage the front of the house to refine that first impression. Definitely not a $250 experience.

We had a reservation for 5:15pm and items were already not available. The food was ok but not worth the high price. The quality of steaks (ribeye and filet) were comparable to Longhorn Steakhouse. Prices comparable to Napa Prime Chophouse but definitely not the same quality and customer experience.

This restaurant is beautiful first of all and our server was very good. The food was not up to par for the price. Will go back for the bar area and maybe order off the bar menu or just go for drinks. Its not a downtown steakhouse but was worth a try.

What a disappointment- Took my wife here for Valentines Day. We got seated at a table that looked to be shoved in a corner to be able to seat extra people. It was awkwardly placed behind a booth and uncomfortably close to another very private looking table. I figured it was just bad luck. Waitress came to us and was friendly, but immediately picked up our bread plates, letting us know that they are out of bread, whipped potatoes, and lobster. It's poor planning to run out of food on this night. The appetizer was awesome! The steak was very good, though a little overcooked. The dessert was very good as well. I went over a half hour without a water refill. The waitress was obviously tired, letting us know that she was exhausted because she had been there since 10am (our reservation was 8:45pm). Total bill with tip was $275 - I expected a lot better for that price.

Very overpriced without any added value. The bread was the best thing about the meal. The NY Strip and Prime Rib were fine; nothing spectacular. Charging $4 for au jus sauce for the Prime Rib was quite funny. The chocolate cake was the driest, non-flavorful cake I’ve ever spent $14 on. I’m all for expensive meals if the quality is there, but this was very mediocre. Go to Hyde Park or Capital Grille instead.

The ambiance was nice. During our time there the noise level was quiet. Our server was pleasant and attentive. There were just the 2 of us. Our reservation was for 4pm and as we were there, the restaurant continued to fill. I had the french onion soup. It was good, but the flavor to me seemed just a little different than others I have had at other locations. I asked for a red sangria, but all that they serve is a blood orange sangria, so I settled for that. It was good. We both ordered the 6 ounce filet. I ordered mine butterflied, and the other one was served normally. When our steaks were brought to the table, the temperature of mine was okay, but the other steak was not hot. We also ordered a side of mashed potatoes, which was not served to us with the rest of our order and the server had to go back to get it, and there was a short delay before it was brought to our table. Our server was kind enough to tell us when ordering the mashed potatoes that the serving size was large enough to be shared by 2., and she was correct. The potatoes were creamy with a nice flavor. The problem was that they were not hot and barely luke warm. We did not complain because having them sent back would have meant eating a steak without a side, although I had another side of asparagus, my partner did not. The bread that was served was very good and fresh. The steak was tender and had a good flavor. For dessert, I had the chocolate mouse. The portion was very small. This is no place to come if you are not prepared to spend a lot of money. For two 6 ounce filet steaks ($42 each) mashed potatoes, 1 french onion soup, 1 salad, 1 asparagus, 1 blood orange sangria, and 1 rasberry ice tea, a mouse pudding and a creme brulee for dessert, our total with tax came to $166...and I left a generous tip. Personally, our experience this time was not worth what it cost us and mainly because the temperature of one steak was not to our liking and the potatoes were served luke warm at best. Rating - C+
