Farm to fork creative southern cuisine. Handcrafted cocktails and fabulous wine list. We offer seating by reservation for all seats in the restaurant including seats at our bar, indoor dining room, and our outdoor porch which is a wonderful place to sit during all seasons (since porch sitting is a true Southport thing to do).

    We had an absolutely fabulous New Years Eve dinner. Everything we ordered was just amazing. We have been there multiple times and they never disappoint.

    We had an incredible anniversary dinner last night at Southern. The food was wonderful and our server/bartender Makenzie was fantastic (as always). Everyone at Southern is kind, hospitable and professional. We make it a point to go as frequently as we can.

    I order the filet special with crispy country ham topping and a side of sweet collard green and a side of charred onion and bean salad. They were all amazing. Also I have to mention the amazing sweet potato butter that came with the bread, it was awesome' Ashley and Jim have created a great place in Southport to dine. Thanks also goes to Lila our server for a great dining experience.

    Food was excellent and the service was exceptional! We arrived a little before our reservation and were seated. It was our anniversary dinner so we tried one of their specialty cocktails, delicious, and shared an appetizer and dessert…all excellent! Will definitely return! And definitely recommend!!
