   My two sisters and I just enjoyed the Queen's Tea experience. It was a wonderful time! Our food and service were both top shelf! The Tea room was very busy, and the staff was both friendly and efficient. I visit frequently, and have never been disappointed. Thank you Elaine & staff for another lovely afternoon tea!

   My friend invited my husband and me to join them for a special Valentine's Day dinner. The event was a prepaid deposit of $50 per person. We sat down with our friends at a nicely appointed table that suggested a four course dining experience (# forks, plates). After 15 minutes of chatting with our friends we were finally approached by a waitress to take our drink order. (Our friends already had their drinks in hand). When the waitress returned with our drinks, she got the orders mixed up and placed my drink in front of my husband. After about 20 minutes we were served our scone - hard and cold. The taste was very bland, considering the fact that it was a "herb scone," I noticed there were no water goblets on the table so I asked if we could have water. The waitress asked if everyone wanted water, and we replied "yes. " (Later, during our meal, I had to interrupt the waitress from eating behind the counter if I could have more water). Never once did anyone come by and refill our water goblets. The Caprese Salad was bleak. Four very small grape tomatoes with a very small spot of tasteless cheese applied to each tomato with a drizzle of balsamic and a couple of basil leaves scattered on the plate. Like I said, very bleak. When all four of us had finished our salad, the waitress came with our main dishes, without removing our salad plates. Her hands were full with the main dishes and she was clearly not going to set them down, so I took the liberty of gathering all four salad plates and four forks and stacked them on the corner of the table. Upon of placing our on-line order, we had two selections, chicken pasta, or seafood pasta. THE CHICKEN PASTA WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Cold very overcooked hard chicken topped the creamy pasta. My husband took ap piece and tapped it on his goblet and it chimed. The dessert plate had been taken out of the freezer. The chocolate was frozen, a the red cake was dehydrated. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO STICK TO TEA!

   Wonderful place! Food was amazing! Presentation was great! Highly enjoyed. My only con is that we arrived early (we were the first to be seated) but last to be served.

   We really enjoyed treating ourselves to High Tea on Valentine's Day. I was surprised how filling the delicious little sandwiches were. The charming decor, delicious food, and excellent service were top notch! We will be back!

   We had the Queen’s Tea. Everything was exquisite. Presentation was great and their own blended teas were very good. I will be going back again soon. This is an authentic English tea room!

   Very nice place. Server was by herself with too many tables to take care of so we did not get to try a second kind of tea. Food was good, loved the scones and chicken salad sandwich, other sandwiches pretty simple and bland. Desserts all very good

   In the reservation, I informed Sotherton that my wife is gluten free. There was confusion on that request when we arrived. Servers brought out crackers, cheese, and ham poorly arranged on a plate that looked like common, grocery store products. They corrected this with a bowl of sandwich fillers from the menu. They did not provide or prepare sandwiches on gluten free bread which was expected. Presentation, service, and food were sub-par for the price.

   The service was nice and overall warm vibe. However we were only offered one tea no option for another flavor even though they said we would have two options. The tea list option was slim though. The scones were really small- more like a cookie, but tasty. And we were not offered any water. We had a salad garnish on the sandwiches with no dressing so sort of a waste of greens. The presentation of the food was great. Overall the vibe was nice but they could use some more refinement of what tea they offer especially for the price.

   Hello Liz, I’m sorry you were under the impression that you could only have two teas, you are actually allowed to have as many flavors as you like, the tea is unlimited. As to the water being offered, in the state of California, the regulation states that water must be asked for. I’m sorry you weren’t pleased with the scones, scone dough is very temperamental, and sometimes refuses to rise. I hope you will give us another chance!

    We enjoyed our two hour lunch and could not have asked for a better experience. I wanted to ask Kelly to be my new best friend! Every part of our visit was pleasant and we will request her as our services on future visits. I hope that will be possible. Three cheers for a perfectly managed operation!
