   They were closed with staff cleaning up inside . They did not inform people who had reservations that they were going to be closed . And the staff inside did not care to come to the door to explain why they were closed . One employee walked all the way to the door not to open it and apologize but to make sure the door was locked . Really rude .

   So o is not what it used to be to be. Drinks weren’t good. Food was ok.

   There was no staff. The manager was trying yo be as accommodating as possible. However they must be under new management because going there 2-4 years ago the food and service was amazing. Now the food is subpar and salty.

   Food wasn’t great - fish was dry and overcooked - I was told since they replaced my fish I could not get the staff to sing happy birthday to me or bring me a piece of cake. Unreal.

   The service (minus our waiter who tried his best to appease us but due to the incompetence of management and ownership could not be saved) was horrible, the owner (who was there working an empty bar spent more time trying to rizz up a woman who wasn’t even ordering anything) completely ignored my party of seven, wouldn’t even accommodate or approach us to apologize or address the issues at hand as a man, but instead stood at the bar which was less than 100 feet away and sent his staff over multiple times. This used to be my go to spot but i will be going elsewhere going forward, the food was mid and the Mac n cheese, which was once a staple completely fell off. Not to mention the owner is Kenya moore’s ex husband

   This is my first time experiencing Soco and the food was amazing. I had the red velvet waffle and chicken. My waiter was super nice and attentive. I'll be back.

   Arrived 15 minutes before my reservation and had to wait. Since my party of 2 was early,That was fine, but then had to wait after my reservation time to be seated. The restaurant wasn’t crowded. But owner ask us to bear with them. After finally being seated. We had to wait another 20 minutes for waiter. We ordered and our food was served only after letting them know that 2 separate tables that arrived after us. Had been served their meal. Waiter then said will check. SMH. In order the fish and grits and bbq wings for appetizers. My wings were good and shrimp and grits wasn’t to be raved about. My friend order the jambalaya , greens and Mac and cheese. One site the green looks like from frozen or can. She tasted it and told waiter. She didn’t like it and he took it away. Mac and cheese was bland and jambalaya was “ok”. She took a takeout and didn’t even eat it when she got home. The people that got served before us. Wasn’t satisfied with their food either. A couple arrived and was seated next to them. Ask how the food was and didn’t give them good reviews. Suggested that they don’t even order. They left right after that. Our bill took forever to come because a large group that was there had complaints as well. They did take off the bill the terrible collards. Paying $115 for food we didn’t truly enjoy was painful. They only then we enjoyed was the complimentary mango sorbet. That was actually delicious. After we step outside restaurant. 3 table we’re all talking about how un satisfy we all were. Its really sad I’m writing such a terrible review. I truly hope they can improve. I’m not from BKLYN. And I really won’t be back there.

   Great food, staff very attentive, the owner followed up on the tables to ensure customers were content. Worth the drive from Jersey.. Will definitely visit again

    The restaurant smelled like a dirty mildew mop. The music was obnoxiously loud. The greeter was not greeting. The server was not attentive. It was disgusting and horrible experience. This place fell off big time. I will never return
