   The restaurant decor was modern with a hint of nautical so immediately we appreciated the thought put into the overall dining experience. The waitstaff were polite, attentive and friendly. We enjoyed a variety of small plates including the nigiri (the salmon was outstanding), tuna tataki, Australian sliced steak, and miso cod. The special sea bream with Asian slaw and new potatoes was also excellent. To our surprise, a new favorite cocktail is now the lychee and cucumber martini.

   Chefs tasting menu for 4 including 1 vegetarian. Fabulous food and service. Mouthful of deliciousness with each course. A true Mecca for anyone interested in tasting fabulous fish flavours on the Isle of Wight. Vegetarians will not be disappointed either.

   This was our first experience of a roast meal with the Smoking Lobster - it was absolutely lovely. It was definitely the best Christmas meal we've every had out and we've been fortunate enough to have Michelin star experiences. Our Christmas Day was made very enjoyable with excellent service from the waitress who comes from Essex and we would definitely return for a Sunday roast. We love the Smoking Lobster and can't recommend it highly enough. Thank you : )
