   Perfect! Service is exemplary. Details guests haven’t even thought of are offered. Our waiter tonight was amazing. Had a conversation with another guest and we both said “our consistent and favorite nyc restaurant.” Please don’t tell anyone else!

   We had a reservation and the first table we were given was partially in a doorway and blocking the path to a large table of 6 people. I asked for a different table and at first was rebuked. However, once the manage (Helena) reviewed the situation we were given a table out of the doorway and by a window. Appreciated the flexibility. Our drinks were comp'd and they gave us a piece of cheese cake for the confusion. Good service recovery in my opinion. The food at S&W is great and so is the service however, they clearly design for large parties! Within my view in the small room we were in I saw 7 tables that would fit up to 6-8 people. This causes the noise to be extreme (as the old adage says if one person talks loudly, everyone does!). Fortunately my wife and I were at a 2 top and therefore did not have to scream to hear one another. So, for food great place! For service great place! For good flexibility and service recovery great place (thank you Helena), but if you want an intimate date night with your partner forget it!

   Our group enjoyed a wonderful dining experience in one of New York's legendary steakhouses. Everything was prepared and timed perfectly throughout the evening and it was a pleasure to host our night out at this historic location. The service was top notch and the hand-crafted cocktails during the meal were delicious, cold and exceptional. A+ overall for our night out beginning with the Caesar salad, and spot on prepared bone in ribeye, Cajun and NY strip with amazing classic sides of onion rings, whipped potatoes and creamed spinach!! Two thumbs up and what every NY steakhouse should aspire to.

   We had the most amazing dinner and service at S & W. The salmon, filet, NY cut sirloin, and potato sides were all delicious. We can't wait to go back!

   Great service and great food. Porterhouse for 2 was amazing, cooked perfectly. We like our steak medium and I would say 75% of the time we have to send it back at most restaurants b/c it’s too rare. Not here! Great wine list w flood affordable wines available.

   Excellent steak, so-so sides (except the mushrooms which were real good). Pleasant ambience and though it was full and lovely it was still possible to converse without shouting, which was great

   Great American steak house. For a British visitor to NY the portion sizes are very large so be prepared!

    In short, we were over served. Two servers assisted us throughout the meal and were so proactive it seemed as though we were emergency room patients at a hospital versus at a restaurant to enjoy a relaxed Sunday dinner
