   After nearly an hour of waiting for food and no communication from our server, we ended up leaving. After asking for our check, they noted they were short in the kitchen and were behind. We understood things happen, however that should have been communicated to customers ahead of time to make a decision on whether to stay or wait for food. The table next to us also left. They online booking also seems disconnected. My reservation was for 8pm, but I got a text at 6pm saying my table was ready. When I called, they said its just to let us know the table is ready. I guess it was no longer ready at 8pm since we couldn’t get any food.

   The waiter was great, my review is in no way directed to him or his level of service. Our reservation was for 7:30, we arrived at 7:15. No bacon bombs, that was a bummer. Service for the food was AWFUL we sat for an hour and finally received a cup of gumbo. Another 15 min before we got our appetizer and finally cancelled our dinner order as it was over an hour and half wait at that point and was still going to be at least another 10 - 15 min before we were going to get our dinner. Horrible experience-

   Our server as well as the Director of Operations were superb. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.

   We always enjoyed Slick Lips in Sandestin, but our food was substandard at this location and we won’t go back. We spent the same $$ at Peg Legs the night before and food was soooooo much better. My “blackened shrimp” tacos at Slick Lips were terrible, shrimp the size of a dime, obviously frozen and tacos filled with wet slaw and salsa. Crab cakes were the thickness of a pancake, scallops & grits mediocre. We ate out twice a day on our week’s vacation and all agreed this was the worst meal.

   They were really busy this particular day but the service was amazing. Managers checked on us repeatedly to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The bartender was amazing and quick on her feet. The environment was chill and my children loved the food as well. We will be back.

   I really enjoyed the scallops and grits. They weren’t creamy like regular grits, but I liked them . Scallops were cooked perfectly. Husband wasn’t all that fond of the “burger”. The sauce threw him off. Nik was our server and he couldn’t have done a better job. Really helpful when it came to ordering my Old Fashion. It was excellent. Not every bartender can make a decent one. We enjoyed ourselves. Didn’t think it was too expensive for a night out downtown. We’re going back for lunch soon to try the oysters.

    Slick Lips is absolutely delicious! I went for the 1st time on a Sunday and returned on Wednesday! LOL Cool atmosphere, wonderful food, and great service!
