   My wife and I came to enjoy a date night dinner at 628. I had the Hungarian mushroom soup that was great tasting. We both ordered the Beef Wellington that was on Special and not on the regular menu. It was excellent!! The meat was so tender it melted in my mouth. The outer crust was so flaky. We both had mashed potatoes as one of our sides, I had the Brussels sprouts and my wife had the grilled asparagus and sweet potato bits. Everything we ate exceeded our expectations and our server Todd was very attentive. The only negative was that they no longer offer their rice pilaf as a side which I enjoy more than potatoes. We will definitely be back. It was a great night!!

   The food was great, the service not so much. Got there about 30 minutes ahead of our reservation and sat at the bar. 5 people were getting their drinks, after that the bartender made 2 drinks for the restaurant. We were next, so we thought, bartender fiddled with paperwork and never came our way or said anything to us, even when we said out loud we could go next door to get a drink, which we did. When we came back, no one at the hostess desk, waited, walked inside, a few tables, not really busy, no one came over to talk to us, went back to the hostess desk and the one of the bus boys came out and said he would seat us. Took a while before our order was taken, waitress apologized for the wait, the food was great, but it was a rough start to the evening. Seemed like there was plenty of staff and not busy, so not sure what was going on.

   Great steakhouse, everything was delicious coming from the Monterey area, I’ve tried many world class steakhouses, this one is just as good all around.

   Eaten here a few times the menu has changed. We were disappointed that we couldn’t order the crab legs with the extra 1/2 order legs. They’ve always had clam chowder in the past, but didn’t offer it this time. Also, we alerted them that it was our anniversary and nothing was ever even said about it . Food was very good, service was good and restaurant was very clean.

   Highly recommend for special occasion dining! Prices were reasonable for quality of food. Be sure to order Shotgun Shrimp on the appetizer menu! Best Ever Prawns!!!

    We have been coming here on Thursday evenings a few times a month, last night on August 22nd. We did not have a good experience. We had a 7pm dinner reservation . The server was not very attentive and slow. We didn’t get our salad for at least 25 minutes and our main course did not come out until 7:50PM. We never got a drinks refilled and had to ask her for the check. The quality of the meal was under par what we were used to having there. Seems like there may have been an issue in the kitchen. The vegetables seemed under cooked and thrown on the grill. The meat did not meet the quality and standard that we have always expected when we dine there. Thank You, James and Ernesta Moore
