We are dedicated to celebrating the best in Seafood with traditional South African spices, working with suppliers from all around the country to create our signature Seafood dishes– made with the best quality produce. All our kitchen products are Halal Certified and all the drinks are alcohol free and that’s where our values stand with the exceptional flavourful food.
Shrimp Shack defers to the majority of restaurants, with our concept of having to pay up front. We believe the food should not come on the extra cost of service and that’s why no service charge has been included on your bill but without lowering the restaurant service and overall experience.

    Food was enjoyable and came out fairly quickly. Portion sizes were more than enough. Thought it odd that you had to pay for meal and drinks before the food or drink is even on the table, which meant we couldn’t have a drink whilst looking through the menu as they wanted us to pay for it all beforehand.

    Highly recommend! The only slight concern I had was that we had to pay for the meal before it arrived and when asked for the starters to come with the mains it didn’t.

    Food was lovely & hot. The juice price was a bit much for a 1.5 lite cordial jug. Otherwise overall service, polite staff & food came after 20 mins nice & hot tasty😋. Would recommend 👍

    The pricing structure didn't make sense to me it was £43 for a seafood boil and if you want to add snow crab that alone was £39. The portions are small the boil sauce wasn’t a boil sauce it was more like a creamy pasta sauce me and my friend left most of it the prawns was mushy. We was expecting so much more based in the good reviews

    Staff were not very accommodating, prawns were overcooked and some had no meat. House sauce was too creamy and no alternative sauces for the boils. Food was overpriced and not great value for money. Would not recommend or go again unfortunately. We ordered a platter for two and this is what came

    We really enjoyed the food at Shrimp Shack which is a very welcome addition to the city, as we're always looking for different. The service and attention to hospitality was brilliant, we were really looked after.

    Thought it was very over priced especially the starters and drinks. Over all dining experience was under average. Was like eating in a fast food takeaway like munchies at high end prices. Won’t be in a rush to go again

    On arrival staff very friendly and welcoming, who also helped us navigate our menu. Was a little sceptical about our visit after reading some of the reviews but pleased to say we enjoyed our meal and its presentation. No complaints !!

    I don’t agree with having to pay for a meal before eating it! Very small portion for 2 people. Not good value for money Will not be returning again
