   My wife and I came in for a date night. I like Sushi, she LOVES sushi. She said the quality of fish was hands down the best she’s had in Ottawa. I thought everything was great, a good mix of simple quality options (the otoro sashimi was a favorite) as well as some interesting and very flavorful signature rolls. We tried the unagi foie gras to see what the more premium options were like. It was delicious, and there were a few more options that sounded great, and based on what we experienced I’m sure you’re actually getting value for the deluxe options.

   Amazing valentines experience. Food was tremendous, the restaurant has a sexy moody vibe. The table was spacious. The wait staff were attentive. Highly recommended. Will be back often.

   Shinka is the place for a premium sushi experience in Ottawa. Every dish is perfectly balanced and the fish is so fresh. They have ingredients that are hard to come by (Uni, Japanese Scallops, Toro) and the service was excellent. Don't let the location scare you off. Behind their kitchen sits an intimate and upscale dining experience.

   Excellent food, great service. We tried one of the chef’s menu and they hit on every service. Will be back to visit for sure.
