   We always have a good meal at Shalim’s Balti House, we booked for Sunday evening and it was quieter than Fridays or Saturdays. Food was excellent, as usual. I tried Chicken Tikka for a change, it was lovely, tender and tasty, served with small salad and lovely minty yoghurt sauce. Shalim and team were the perfect hosts. A lovely meal out with my husband, could not have been better. Thank you Shalim!

   As always, excellent food. Friendly professional service, and they are always happy to accommodate our requests to 'veganise' dishes. Thoroughly recommended.

   Delicious food and lovely staff. My favourite dish is the bindhi bhaji, it's not often you see okra on the menu. The tamarind relish that comes with the poppadoms is also fabulous

   A guaranteed fabulous indian meal here every time. Whether we be out with friends or a meal with the family. The service is outstanding as is the food. The attention to detail just shows how passionate these people are to give you a nice experience. The menu also provides a chuckle! Polite, friendly and and all round fantastic restaurant.

   Very poor food, curry was cold, nan bread and rice were also cold, very expensive especially the drinks, definitely will not be going there again

Did you say anything to the person serving you at the time? If you had, we would have rectified any problems with your meal on the spot for you.    We got there 5mins early Waited for a while for our thali when it arrived it was stone cold they took it back to warm up when it came back what was on our plates was missing and the food was slightly warmer. My husband was very hungry so he ate most of his I asked fora doggy bag so I could warm it up at home It was awaful but to be fair the food tasted ok They offered us a free drink which we accepted paid up and left THERE IS NO EXCUSES FOR COLD FOOD ON A COLD NIGHT the owner should have offered us a free meal Imwont be back there as it’s the second time it’s not been good enough in this restaurant

   Hello Marion, Your review seems a bit different from what happened on the night, which leaves me a little confused. Yes, you flagged a problem with your meal, which had come straight from the hot cupboard to your table. Ensuring it was pipping hot. However, we want to give every diner the best possible experience at Shalims. So, with no quibble, we replaced both of your Thali meals with fresh new meals. When we rechecked your table to make sure everything was okay, it was. On top of replacing your food, we did indeed offer free drinks, which you accepted. I don’t know what more we could have said or done. Shalim
