The Seven Stars is a 16th century country inn situated in the heart of Surrey, close to both Dorking and Reigate, with Gatwick airport seven miles away. It has wealth of character which includes a large inglenook fireplace, beamed ceilings, recently renovated gardens and patios along with ample parking.
An extension that now forms the main dining area was completed in 1996 and won the British Heritage Development Award for that year.
The Seven Stars has a great atmosphere, we have strived to keep it a village pub where friends and locals meet up to wine, dine and and enjoy freshly cooked food, sourced from the local area. We also pride ourselves on our Gluten Free and Vegan options

    I wouldn't recommend. We found the food really quite disappointing; the filo pastry onmy wife's chicken & mushroom 'pot pie' was burnt and the filling was oily. My jerk chicken had no distinct taste except for the pineapple sauce which was spicy and tasty. My desert (Hungarian Bonfire pudding) was luke warm, tough and tasteless. I left most of it which is unheard of for me. Sadly we won't be returning.

    Nice pub with friendly attentive staff. One or two more ales on the pumps would have been nice and some background music to add to the ambience

    We've not eaten there for years but sadly we were disappointed. The setting is lovely, and the staff were very pleasant. We enjoyed our main courses. However, the Tomato soup starter was tasteless. The pub was empty, but the service was incredibly slow with no explanation or apology for the poor service. Unfortunately, it has put us off going again.

    Fantastic meal, beautiful surroundings and very comfortable, if anything the tables were very close together, but didn’t hamper privacy

    Lovely restaurant with excellent service and good food. I’ve taken one star off ambience, because it would have been lovely to have an open fire with on such a cold day.
