Seray offers a delightful Lebanese dining experience in Vienna, with "seriously good Lebanese food" and a beautifully modern ambiance. Guests rave about the "excellent personal service" and welcoming atmosphere. Popular dishes like Branzino and lamb chops receive high praise. Food was very good. A computer glitch delayed our order though the waiter was very nice about it.The music was much too loud with an annoying techno beat and seemed inconsistent w the level of sophistication of the decor and the food.

I’m Lebanese so I’ve been around Lebanese restaurants, both in Lebanon and the DMV area. I found Seray to be a very disappointing experience. Unrepresentative of Lebanese cuisine in every aspect: taste, generosity and ambiance. The place is generically decorated, could’ve been a fancy McDonalds for all I know. We were 4 people. We ordered 9 plates. I was shocked by how small the portions were. We had to order 3 more plates and then 2 desserts for it to be good for all of us. Food quality wise, some of the worst Lebanese I’ve had in the DMV. The rkakat jebneh are mozarella sticks. The batata harra is random fried potatoes with a sauce on the side. The makanek had literally 5 pieces in the plate and no pomegranate molasses (even though the waiter confirmed it had it when I asked). The fattoush looked like it was leftovers from another table’s order. And don’t even get me started on the halewit jebneh and knafeh. We each got exactly 1 bite, for 15$ the plate. And all of it, as unauthentic as it gets. Cherry on top, the owner or manager came to ask for my opinion. I was like if I’m honest there’s work to be done on the quality. He brushed it off and blamed it on the ingredients and their availability in the US. No one wants to support Lebanese businesses as much as I do, but this one feels like an expensive unethical American trap. Many better options in DC and VA.

Our waiter lied to us (table of 4) when we ask for bread, and when he brought us a basket of bread, we asked if it came with olive oil. He said the restaurant is out of olive oil. We commented that we could not believe they would be out of olive oil, so we asked if anything else would go with dry bread. He suggested hummus, we agreed, which we thought was an offer gratis in place of olive oil, but they charged us for it. And the hummus had olive oil in it, so we were very confused. Our waiter was also very pushy with a few items, such as expensive bottles of water and a martini for one of our guests, who said no the the martini several times, and she was driving. We ordered 3 hot appetizers. The Halloumi was not hot at all, which was surprising for fried cheese. The batata harra were good and the chicken livers were probably the best part of the meal. The Chicken Taouk was overdone and, for $28, it was expensive for some chicken and rice. In summary, the food is not worth going back for, and we had never been lied to by the wait staff before. At the end of the meal we asked the manager (I think she was the manager) if they were out of olive oil. She said no. We told her what our waiter said, but she didn't do much. We left frustrated.

Felt that for the small quantity of food it was way overpriced. The flavors were underwhelming and the loud setting made normal conversation difficult. Will not plan on returning. Had high hopes for this new restaurant but it fell flat.

The food was great and the ambiance was very nice, however we were rushed through the entire process to the point we walked out completely frustrated. For example, our main course was served almost immediately after our appetizers were brought to the table. The waiter kept coming to take our plates away multiple times while we were still eating. It was obvious they were rushing to turn the table for the next customer and made the overall experience unpleasant.

This was my second time here and it is a neighborhood gem. The food is solid and the service does not disappoint. Bar service though is okay - nothing special or extraordinary. For a Tuesday, there were atleast 7 birthdays being celebrated while we were there dinner time and it got tiring with singing and the birthday music.
