Serafina opened its doors in 1991 as an intimate neighborhood restaurant located along Eastlake between the University and Downtown. Its intimate, sultry atmosphere, outdoor garden seating and its authentic Italian cuisine make it a favorite with diners from around the Puget Sound and beyond. Serafina's philosophy is simple: Offer the freshest, highest quality ingredients, present the food in an honest and inviting way, and provide the casual warmth and soothing ambiance that echoes the welcoming embrace of an Italian home.
The ritual of coming together sharing wine and food with family and friends is the central motif in our lives. Italian food has an immediacy, honesty, and warmth; it possesses the spirit of a grandmother's wisdom and love. Delightful dinner experience (even though the parking was terrible due to the street being torn up for blocks). Busy night, and we were lucky to get a table instead of bar seats due to a last-minute cancelation. Ordered arancini to start and it arrived with four small balls, perfect to share. I enjoyed the lasagna, and my wife had the mushroom crema risotto. Both dishes were full of flavor and enough to take some leftovers home. Service was spot on, and I highly recommend making reservations to enjoy this Italian delight! Just remember parking is a pain during this road construction.

One of my Wife and my favorite places. They truly never disappoint. The dessert that was on special, a Lemon-Coconut cake was in top 5 best desserts of all time

We loved our evening at Serafina. The lasagna and eggplant dish were spectacular and service was wonderful. Ambiance was very romantic but the table for two was a bit too small. Other than that, we think this is our favorite Italian spot we’ve tried out of like 17 different states.

For the price, the food and service was below average. Our bill with tip came to about $325. We got 2 half orders of pasta dishes, 2 entrees, 3 glasses of wine, 2 desserts, and 2 digestifs. There was item they were out of, and the server was unapologetic. Also, our desserts of biscotti and gelato took about 15 minutes- not much to prepare there. Table next to us ordered their desserts well after ours (flourless chocolate cake and cheesecake), and they got theirs very quickly. Our server did not apologize for the delay, nor bothered to really care. I can better spend the money elsewhere for a more enjoyable meal and service.

Went here for Valentine’s Day dinner with my girlfriend. Food and wine were great along with ambiance. I was surprised by the mandatory 20% gratuity on top of the 4.5% service charge. It didn’t say anywhere on the website or on the menu about the gratuity. The food and service were great, but not worth 24.5% of an already expensive dinner.
